It's funny how time always seems to change popular opinion.
What once was labeled as "far-fetched nonsense" has now been decided upon as the best film of all time! We're talking about Alfred Hitchcock's 1958 thriller Vertigo, which just knocked Citizen Kane from its pedestal for the first time in 50 years!
Over 800 critics and experts weighed in on the BFI Sight and Sound Poll — a prestigious ranking which has been carried out once a decade since 1952 — and agreed upon the new top dog.
Orson Welles' classic piece of cinema had been number one in the ranking since 1962, but lost this year by just 30 votes.
Oh well. We always thought it was overrated anyway.
Calm down cinephiles, because we're JUST KIDDING! LOLz!
Do U think that Vertigo will hold up for another decade or is there another deserving film that might sneak up and claim the top honor?
