Man Arrested In Ohio For Attempting To Smuggle WEAPONS Into Another Dark Knight Rises Screening!

| Filed under: Icky Icky PooFilm FlickersLegal MattersBusted!

We suppose there just some truly sick people in this world…and the ones who try to mimic them are even SICKER.

And just SAD.

As if the tragedy that occurred at the Colarodo midnight screening of The Dark Knight Rises weren't enough, a Cleveland-area man was arrested Saturday night attempting to smuggle guns, ammunition and knives into a late-night showing of the action flick!

According to authorities, management at the movie theater became concerned when the suspect in question attempted to bring a satchel into the theater with him, and immediately contacted a security guard working…who luckily, also happened to be an off-duty cop!

Upon searching the bag, the officer found the weapons, and the guy was arrested without incident!

Authorities are currently investigating the man's home, and it's still unclear if anything else was uncovered!

Just horrific, awful, and so completely senseless!

Seriously, WHAT is wrong with people?

However, we are so grateful to everyone responsible for preventing this potential tragedy from happening!

Hopefully these kind of foolish copy-cats will fade out soon! People should NOT have to be afraid to see this excellent film!

I live in a safe small town in Cali, our downtown theater has metal detectors. In addition theirs a police station in the same building our movie theater houses.

Thanks to the media for giving sick crazy people ideas.

A part of me suspects that this guy never had any intention of killing anyone. I think he brought the weapons in to see if he could get away with it, and to get off on the fact that he had the power to cause harm to others. Obviously a very troubled person, and it wouldn't surprise me if there was some hero worship with the Aurora killer going on here. A good thing an off-duty cop was there to catch him.

    The U.S. is gun crazy.

Probably another false flag. Either the government is behind it or its the medias fault for giving this so much media attention.

  6. 6

the media keeps fueling those killers. they'll keep shooting as long as media is exposing them…

The second movie was excellent, but this one was not.

I think anyone who can mimic this type of insane act should receive the same punishment as the first person. If you can see what tragedy it causes the first time and then actually WANT to do the same, you are equally, if not more sick and should get the same punishment.

I live in Ohio and the news here is saying the man was already seated in the theater 20+ minutes prior to the movie, alone, before other movie goers were in the theater.

"Police said Smith was the first person in the theater at the time of his arrest but up to 80 people would have been there 20 minutes later. He was sitting in the last row in a middle seat. This was a “tactical position,” according to officers, his back to the wall and facing out."

Maybe he was trying to make sure he was protected in case someone else decided to do what that Holmes guy did. The fact that he told the cops he would be happy to put them in the car was evidence that he is simply an open carry advocate. There are a lot of them in Ohio. It doesn't mean that they are sickos, murderers, or copycats. It means that they believe in exercising their 2nd Amendment and State Constitution rights.

@pastxmas - I'm sorry but if you feel that way maybe you should re-evaluate your definition of self-defense. I live right up the street from this exact theatre, watched The Dark Knight there as well as several other films in the past three years. The area is well-known for an extremely low crime rate and seldom does one feel the need to carry a satchel full of a loaded 9mm, 2 back-up magazines with up to 17 bullets in each, and 2 knives, not to forget the knife he had hidden beneath his belt. He mentioned having served briefly in the military, so tell me why someone with military training would need so much ammunition to take out 1, 2 or even 3 potential shooters? Also, the fact that he stated he would gladly place his weapons in his vehicle says absolutely nothing, if he felt so strongly about defending himself then he would have defended the need to carry such weaponry for "self-defense" purposes. Don't you think?

Re: umm..okay? – Do you have any idea what you're talking about? Your post reeks of "I have no idea about firearms, but im just emulating and repeating the same incorrect BS other mindless morons and the media tells me to spew"

So basically, anyone carrying an extra mag it no longer becomes self defense right?..Generally glocks only carry 10 rounds for their standard magazines..Theres no way a glock carries 17 rounds. If he had extended magazines rest assured it would of been mentioned. They didn't even mention what this guy had on him.

"carrying such weaponry?" LMAO..He had a pistol, with 2 extra mags..Most concealed carriers carry their loaded pistol, and 2 extra magazines.
