Barack Obama and Anne Hathaway sitting in a tree…
The President of the United States had kind words for the actress at the campaign fundraiser she co-hosted in Connecticut with Aaron Sorkin, Harvey Weinstein and Joanne Woodward.
While speaking to the 50 guests who each paid $35,800 to attend, Obama praised her performance in The Dark Knight Rises and said:
"I got a chance to see Batman and she was the best thing in it. That's just my personal opinion."
Wonder if that opinion would have changed if Joseph Gordon-Levitt or Christian Bale were hosting the fundraiser… Ha!
It wasn't just her talent he was impressed with either though. During his speech to the generous supporters, the President said Sorkin, the creator of HBO's Newsroom, "writes the way every Democrat in Washington wished they spoke."
Was that his way of hinting that he needed a new speech writer?
