Is Alanis Morissette Joining American Idol??

We've got one hand in our pocket over this good news!

Alanis Morissette has just dropped a HUGE hint that she may be joining Mariah Carey at the American Idol judges table!

Alanis spilled the musical beans earlier this morning during a radio interview. When asked if she has ever been approached by Idol about joining the show, the singer hint-hinted:

"I’m in talks with somebody right now. I can’t name any names, but I’m pretty excited at the thought of doing it more formally. Yep.”

Oh-My-Seacrest!

Alanis Morissette is probably maybe-deninatly joining American Idol!

She says the only thing in the way of her making a judging debut is some "investigation." She claims:

“I still have to investigate further, that’s all I can say."

We're like, 1000% sure this detective work mainly involves Alanis' agent finding how how much ca$h the show is ready to throw down! LOLz!

Now we have to ask, would Alanis be a good judge? Would it be ironic, do you think?

    AI isn't going to have two female judges on a panel of three. Plus, Alanis wouldn't help their ratings, what demographic would she be able to pull in. She isn't exactly a household name and the teenagers have probably never heard of her.

    I think Alanis Morissette would be perfect on American Idol. She’s one of my favorite artists and I’m hoping she would be able to along side Mariah bring life back to the show. I’ve enjoyed watching this show on primetime and I can enjoy more commercial free. I would’ve never liked this show if it wasn’t for my coworker at Dish, who told me about it. The Auto Hop feature, which offers the option to watch or skip commercials with the touch of a button, is a great way to enhance TV. I always hate fast forwarding passed my programming, and then having to skip back. I don’t have to worry about wearing down the batteries or fast forward button on my remote anymore.
