Elton John Calls LIES On London Times & Sues!
Oh dear. Sir Elton John is NOT a happy campy camper, and for once it's not because of Madonna's T&A!
The legendary performer is suing the London Times for libel, claiming the respected newspaper erroneously reported that Elton was evading taxes! The Rocket Man is seeking damages for insult and injury.
Apparently the Times had featured Elton in two articles about tax-avoiding secrets, alleging his so-called former accountant Patrick McKenna advised his clients to NOT pay their taxes…
YEA CAUSE THAT's NOT ILLEGAL OR ANYTHING.
But the paper DID later issued a correction stating McKenna was never involved in such nefarious actions, and that he was never actually Elton's accountant!
Unfortunately for the Times, their little correction does not rectify their mistake in Elton's bespectacled eyes, and his attorney recently stated:
"The allegations are particularly damaging to the claimant's reputation in the sphere of charity fundraising."
Oops to the max, guys!
And now you shall feel the legal wrath of Benny AND his lawyer-ly jets!
