Music Loses Lil' Wayne To Skateboarding AND Deadmau5 To Depression
Ahh! This is sad news for fans of Lil' Wayne and Deadmau5.
Both popular acts have recently announced that they'll be taking a break from music to pursue other ventures, or in the case of the DJ, to "chill the f*ck out a bit."
During a radio interview in Atlanta last week, Wayne revealed that he's switching his focus from rap to skateboarding and explained:
"I kinda feel like I deserve that, I feel like the fans deserve a little No Wayne. I've been everywhere, man. I've been out on everybody's song, I'm still on everybody's song. My artists are doing awesome; I believe the fans deserve some peace from me, so I'll be on my skateboard in the meantime."
Just don't give them TOO MUCH peace! Either way, we doubt the world will forget about Lil' Wayne anytime soon.
Deadmau5' announcement, on the other hand, comes off as a little more alarming. It sounds like he's got some serious personal issues going on as he took to his blog to write:
"im going to unplug for a wee bit. which doesnt mean im cancelling any upcoming shows or anything, im just gunna slam on the breaks for a bit and force myself to endure some quiet time [sic] … im basicly pretty miserable right now and need to pull the f*ck back and figure out whatever the f*ck it is i do."
You make people dance and they love you for it, dude!
We certainly hope he doesn't forget how much joy his music has brought people, but think he should take time to figure whatever he's got to figure out!

Okay, Perez should really display the full deadmau5 post because the title as well as the quoted post makes it seem like Joel is seriously depressed. In his Tumblr post, he just sounds like he's been really stressed and just wants to take a break. Calm down mau5 fans, don't freak out just yet.
calm down. it's a tough schedule, im sure everyone would be depressed in a airport or hotel all damn day.
If Perez wasn't such a lazy ass, he'd know that deadmau5 just announced a new album for September. So much for a break…
