Victoria Beckham Is Too Posh To Tip!

| Filed under: Icky Icky PooVictoria BeckhamDavid Beckham50 Shades Of Grey

And yet, she's NOT too posh to indulge in some hard-core fantasy porn a la Fifty Shades of Grey!

Hmm… Maybe its a British thing?

Rumor has it that David Beckham's main spice Victoria Beckham sometimes allows herself more than a few frozen grapes at dinner, and apparently dines at English semi-expensive pizza chain Pizza Express!

We know, right? PIZZA? HA! As IF the waif of a thousand and one poses one pose would ever let cheesy carbs pass through her lips!

According to one Pizza Express supervisor:

"She loves having bosco salad — warm garlic mushrooms, baby mozzarella, avocado, roasted tomatoes, spinach, rocket, balsamic syrup, honey and mustard dressing with warm doughsticks… She’s had other salads before, but never pizza — she wouldn’t eat that."

BUT the same manager ALSO revealed Mrs. Beckham doesn't tip!!!

"Victoria came in on Monday night with six children and David’s mum. She paid £115 for dinner in cash. She’s a very good customer and comes here regularly. She didn’t leave a tip, she didn’t leave anything. I gave her the receipt and she gave me the money exactly, £115. But it doesn’t matter. She’s a good customer and is always nice. You give her something, she always says please and thank you."

HA! So basic table manners excuse not tipping your waitress?! GOOD TO KNOW.

We understand that tipping customs are different in each country, and in England people aren't expected to tip as much as we do in the states, but NO tip is absolutely ridiculous.

Can you pay rent with table manners? Try it and find out!

    smells like bull shit!

  2. 2

In France, you never leave any tip. In England, you do and you don't.

And that story is bullshit. Fabricated from word one.

  3. 3

Tipping is stupid. It's a skilless, laborless job. In England that mostly do not tip and tipping is not a common practice of theirs.

  4. 4

Australians don't generally expet tipping either. Thats why they love when North Americans come over. I was in SouthHampton last summer and we asked locals at a breakfast restaurant what the ideal tipping rate is they told us in England wait staff are paid very decent wages are do not expect to be tipped. If they are it is just a bonus. Not like in the US and Canada where they make below minimum wage and pretty much rely on tips to make up most of their pay

the publicity alone is worth the no tips part

  6. 6

as a server, i have understood that in countries outside the U.S., the tip/gratuity is already included in the bill or the server's wage. Maybe that is why foreigners are confused about tipping customs in the U.S. the sad thing is that they are ignorant enough not to ask. Black people on the other hand. . . lol! :)

  7. 7

Restaurants in the UK generally add a service charge, especially to a group of that size. It is normal not to tip because servers actually make a decent wage. If you do tip it is generally just a could of pounds or up to the next 5 or 10.

  8. 8

Tipping can be hard on the wallet if you dont have much money yourself but when you are rich giving that person a nice big tip could really make someones day a happy one. If I had the money I would enjoy giving large tips to people in low paid positions.

Nookies - a "laborless job"? Clearly you're a smart one. What might you do for living that's so "laborfull?"
In England you are not expected to tip but you can and it won't cause offense (like in Japan). In fact, considering the cost of living in London (where I'm assuming VB is dining) it wouldn't hurt her to tip her server. Especially since if she hadn't managed to snag a vacuous handsome footballer and hang on for dear life it'd most likely be her serving pizza for a living…

  10. 10

I read Europeans do not tip. Mark Zuckerburg vacationed in Europe for his honeymoon. It was reported he didnt tip any of his waiters.

  11. 11

Most European and Asian countries do not tip. This is not a story. She is British, so she is not used to tipping. Although I still think this entire story is bullshit, because I don't see the Beckhams using Pizza Express that often.

  12. 12

its because the usa wages are so pitifully low is why they have to be tipped, no where else forces tipping . if im paying 115 bucs thats around 180 here or 170 for pizza u can shove ur tip..

Re: NookiesWA – Okay asshole, have you ever been a server? Try it once and tell me that it's "skill-less". Furthermore, tell me that tipping is pointless when you make $5 an hour as a server like we do in the U.S.

  14. emmcee47 says – reply to this

Re: harvey123 – Tipping might be hard on the wallet, but it should be considered part of the cost of eating out. If you can't afford to tip, you can't afford to eat out.

  15. Mr Pete says – reply to this

DAH The reason you don't leave a tip is because automatically 18% has already been added on the bill as the service charge
You might leave a very small 2% if the service was so outstanding, of if the server looked like David,
Otherwise you have already given the server 18%

  16. 16

Doubt how much truth there is to this story, but waiters should be tipped…they don't earn salaries, its not a skilles, laborless job (Nookies you are probably still at school, don't leave untill you're a little more informed). You should only refuse to tip if the service was really that bad, and if that's the case, speak to the manager.

In England tipping isnt customary - in fact most people dont.
At a lot of places its even discouraged - which is an awesome practice!

just because in the US & Canada you go to a restaurant .. they bring you your food and dont even come back for an hour but still expect a 20% tip … yeah right.

THere are some great places where the waitreses are great and attentive and are constantly checking up on you - those places I dont mind leaving a tip
but when someone doesnt even serve you properly - but then hover over you while you pay the bill because they expect 20 bucks on a 80 dollar meal … when you didnt see their face more than twice the whole dinner. So nuts!

  18. 18

Way to lose a good customer!

  19. Kara says – reply to this

Pizza Express adds the tip to the bill before you even pay. That amount she was charged included the tip! Pizza express is also not "semi-expensive" - it is just a normal cafe. This article is stupid and written by someone who has no idea what they are talking about.

  20. 20

in most european countries they don´t tip and when you do they look too surprised lol

  21. Lalalala says – reply to this

You also have to understand that UK wages are much more than what it is in the US … oh nd Pizza hut is NOT Posh… Its pretty well bog standard

  22. Lisa says – reply to this

Who cares? When I went to Germany they did not tip, BUT they expected that if you are American to tip, because they know Americans do this.

  23. Al says – reply to this

Everyone on here who is saying that in the UK the wages are good, so we don't need tips are absolutely WRONG!
I've been in this business for years now and I can tell you that waiting staff are generally always paid minimum wage and are expected to get tipped in order to bump up the wages. For those who say it's an easy job.. try working 12hrs on your feet, rushing around like an idiot and getting paid minumum wage.
The government have even stated that waiting staff should be paid minumum wage due to the expectancy of tips. Even in bars, it's all the same. Ignorance to thsoe who obviously haven't worked in this sector.

  24. 24

Re: NookiesWA – Spoken in your typical dickhead form. Just remember that servers ALWAYS remembers who doesn't tip. Think about that next time you take a bite out of something creamy in a restaurant. And if you think stuff from the movie Waiting doesn't happen, you are dead wrong.

  25. Barnz says – reply to this

Its well known in the UK (There has even been a TV programme about it) That Pizza Ezpress staff do not get the tips! Its been a scandal and staff were on it saying not to tip.

  26. RayofFNsunshine says – reply to this

They get paid to do their job and if they suck at their job then they don't get a tip.

  27. 27

They actually pay their employees fairly in the UK, so you don't need to tip. Stop forcing everyone to conform to your culture.

  28. laura says – reply to this

different countries also pay waiters differently. i live in canada, and waiters make at least minimum wage (which in my province is about $11/hour) so in my job where I ALSO make minimum wage, why should I be expected to leave a tip. they make the same amount of money as me and they are paid the same. i can understand that in the states, they make alot less in order to compensate for the tips but different countries dont adhere to that. so no i dont tip. i think tipping has become completely overblown and people shouldnt be made to feel bad if they dont leave a tip

  29. piquepique says – reply to this

Re: Rosette Nebula – In England they get a decent wage, and each bill includes a 10% service charge automatically. Tipping is always optional as it isn't necessary. The system in the US is messed up.

Re: emmcee47 – You're a professional maid. You take an item from point A to point B..A monkey or a 10 year old could be a successful waiter. You have to walk them to a seat, skill less. You have to take their order ok 2nd grade education level. Then you take the ticket to the cook, then when their food is ready you pick it up, then bring it to them. It's a skill less job. F you and your tips

Re: Beautiful Disaster311 – Doubtful. They are mostly idiots with double digit IQs..Most of the time they can't even do fast food jobs well. Highly doubt they can remember hundreds of people and remember said person 2 weeks later. If someone did that to my food and I found out, I would beat them within an inch of their life :)

  31. Courtney Kurucz says – reply to this

I've been to France and to England and I've met people who live in both places. You don't tip because usually the tip is included in what you are paying. So I think this "supervisor" is stirring up shit to get his 15 minutes of fame…

  32. Courtney says – reply to this

Re: jenny – True enough!! While I was dining in Montana, the waitress was great!! (I've been elsewhere in the states and I find the bigger the city.. the worse the waiters get) Same in canada, the servers think they deserve a great tip because they checked up on you twice. I don't think so! Sometimes, if they service is so crappy where the server just asks what you want for food then proceeds to talk with friends at the bar and doesn't come back again but hangs around when I am paying, I don't tip at all. Pretty much saying, you suck at your job and you should quit while your ahead.

pizza express is not semi expensive its cheap they do deals for £1 pizzas, and no waiters in england are not on a decent wage it's the minimum wage! or most places its barely that with most places using credit card tips and service to pay wages not as a bonus as it should be. I work in a restaurant where posh's mum has come in with harper and a huge body guard and not left anything. Now as a waiter I don't see tipping as a right I see it as a fab bonus for demanding and often rude patrons, who click their fingers cleaning up the often bomb sites that their screaming children have left behindbeing on my feet for 10 hours a day where i am at the beck and call of my customers which in the place i work i want to give excellent customer service but the patrons dont often allow me to when i am running around dealing with all kinds of bull shit, its not a career but its a job and i shouldnt have ppl looking down their noses at me when all i want to do is give good customer service and have ppl leave happy - 4 the most part the customers try to make it as difficult as possible because they come in tired and harrassed. The stories I could tell about how disgutsting some ppl are would make u weep.
