Whitney Houston Remembered On Her 49th Birthday

| Filed under: Music MinuteR.I.P.Whitney HoustonSad SadAmerican Music Awards

Happy Birthday in heaven, Whitney Houston.

It's still so hard to believe that this past February, the beloved songbird passed, and today, she would've turned 49 years old.

With the premiere of her very last film, Sparkle, approaching next week and in honor of her birthday, we wanted to take the time out to pay tribute and Celebrate one of the best voices the world has EVER heard.

Relive one of Whitney's most amazing performances (above) from the '94 American Music Awards!

Simply amazing and stunningly flawless!!!

You will never be forgotten, Nippy.

Our thoughts are with her friends and family, especially Bobbi Kris.

If I should stay, I would only be in your way. So I'll go, but I know I'll think of you every step of the way. And I will always love you. I will always love you. You, my darling you. Mmm. Bittersweet memories, that is all I'm taking with me. So, goodbye. Please, don't cry. We both know I'm not what you, you need. And I will always love you. I will always love you I hope life treats you kind And I hope you have all you've dreamed of. And I wish to you, joy and happiness. But above all this, I wish you love. And I will always love you. I will always love you. I will always love you. I will always love you. I will always love you. I, I will always love you. You, darling, I love you. Ooh, I'll always, I'll always love you

Good god, you'll be paying tribute to her 10 years from now, still saying "our thoughts go out to her freinds and family, especially boobi kris". What a joke, the crack-ho is dead, let's get over it.

why do we idolize and go BS over drug addicts? she's dead…move on…Kimye….

Houston wasn't a saint. She's dead because she abused herself. I despise those who are so weak that they deify the undeserving because they can't face the unpleasantness of life. Whitney Houston was a drug addict. It was a choice she made, and in making that choice, the dumb bitch trashed her voice and turned herself into a has-been, and the only time anyone noticed her was when she was doing stupid shit caught by the paps. There is no need to mark her birthdays or the anniversary of her death with gushy, sappy, and phony posts, pansy. You certainly didn't mind posting bad things about her when she was alive, so you don't need to pretend like you care about her now that she's dead. You do this with all the celebs who die, and it's disgusting.

Re: Paris France – REALLY? Did we really need the lyrics to that sappy song? You need more to do.

Thank you for the tribute. Still missing her.

Wow, someone who could sing like that ended up alone and high in a tub. Sad. Trillions of us would have given anything to be her back then. Sad. Rest in Peace Whitney. :(

Re: Yes You Bore Me – Fuck you man you are a ridiculous asshole. She WAS and still IS a LEGEND. Yes she had personal issues but who does not, you shouldn't diminish the talent she once had, it is disrespectful and unnecessary. You my friend, along with all those who want to judge her, need to grow up and be more respectful and apathetic. No one is perfect and who are you to cast your judgement…SMH
    Rest in Peace Ms. Houston

You guys are fucking retards. She's not even singing the fucking "Dolly" song. Watch the fucking video losers and be amazed at what ONLY she could do with a voice that GOD gave her.

She sings "I Love You Porgy", "And I'm Telling You", and "I Have Nothing". Watch before you make an ass out of yourself!

Love you Whitney! RIP my Idol!!
