It seems Drake is saying HYFR to all the Aaliyah-album doubters, and may be releasing that posthumous puppy before the
end of the world year's end!
While backstage at Ovo Fest, Drake shared:
"To get 13, 14 new Aaliyah songs, everybody should be excited. It's not about me. It's about her and her fans and us just getting the opportunity to give you something that we feel is great."
Uh oh, Timbaland's gonna be pissed that Drake's invading his territory! We hope Timba doesn't go stomping his Timberland mountain-man boots all over Drake's Aaliyah loving… let the boy have his morbid crush!
There is also the issue of whether or not Aaliyah's family supports Drake's plans for their late loved one's music, and hopefully Drake's not just going full steam ahead without their permission.
We do long to hear more of Aaliyah's sweet tones, and we are a fan of Drake's thoughtful, somber style hip-hop, so hopefully all discrepancies will get amicably addressed and Drake can move forward with the project as planned.
Sending so many hearts out into the universe just for you, Aaliyah!
