Muse WILL Survive At Olympic Closing Ceremony!

| Filed under: AnglophiliaMusic MinuteAdeleEd SheeranOne Direction

Wailing wombats!

British etherial rockers Muse have confirmed they will be shaking it to the right with other iconic UK musicians like the Spice Girls at the 2012 London Olympics closing ceremony!

Obviously, the band SHOULD perform seeing as their song Survival is the official 2012 Olympic tune…

But who else will help musically celebrate the athletic triumphs of the past two weeks?!

Ed Sheeran has hinted at a Pink Floyd collaboration, which was later denied by Pink Floyd, AND we've heard whisperings that Queen, One Direction, Adele, The Who and The Rolling Stones COULD be stunning crowds with their melodious super powers, but we can't say for SURE sure.

We DO know that 20+ artists are involved, playing over 30 pieces of music!!

That's one steaming, massive helping of musical mash!

boring opening, seizure-inducing logo, awful official olympic song - hopefully the closing will be better. can't wait for the more colorful rio in 2016!

I like the opening, one of the best thing about Britain is they know how to tell a story, from Shakespeare to Harry Potter they came from that country, from that opening they gave us story and fairy tales and I do think it's awesome, I can't wait for the closing ceremony!!

you guys might find this a cool little tidbit: it’s just released today and basically has a more or less full rundown of the closing ceremonies agenda:

Did I go blind or did Muse not play at the ceremony? That's what I was looking forward to during the closing ceremony, instead of something played out like Taio's Dynamite…. only drab people with a poor taste in music dislike Survival (*cough* kirknyc24)

Re: whatthef* – If you were watching it on NBC, then they cut Muse out.
