Chris Hemsworth Plans On Saving America In First Red Dawn Trailer

| Filed under: Film FlickersChris HemsworthJosh Hutcherson

Holy explosions, Batman Thor!

The trailer for the action-packed flick Red Dawn is here (above) and instead of facing the Russians like the original, Chris Hemsworth, Josh Hutcherson and the rest of the Wolverines are taking on North Korea.

While this doesn't look too impressive, it may turn out to be a decent popcorn flick that will have enough fire power (and enough of hottie Hemsworth) to keep us entertained for a couple hours.

Let us know if U think this one is worth checking out when it hits theaters on November 21! If Chris is shirtless for at least 57% of the movie, we're definitely IN!

I just has to be the asians that take over and Chris Hemsworth not even American. But still it looks okay. I thought shooting any type of gun would take training and that girl shot an RPG.

RIP OFF! Have you ever seen Tomorrow When the War Began? An AUSTRALIAN film?! This is exactly the same story line and will only do better because it's american but will never be as good. John Marsden wrote the books to Tomorrow When the War Began which were fantastic, as was the movie. Thanks America for screwing over Australian film yet again! Sincerely, pissed off aussie

Re: amanda – Puh-LEEZE! As a matter of fact, it is Tomorrow When The War Began that is the ripoff, because the original Red Dawn came out when I was still in high school, in 1984. Where were you then, still in your mother's womb??

    Get a life!

Re: StephS41 – actually no i wasn't born yet, so i'm sorry i'm not as well matured as you to know that.

So I've googled and you're right Red Dawn was written in 1984 and Tomorrow When the War Began in 1993.

It was my oppinion, and mine alone. I just hate Australian film not getting the credit it deserves. Maybe you should get a life and not attack people behind your computer.

Re: amanda – Then, with all due respect, check imdb.com first before going off half-cocked and accusing my country's film industry of ripping off an idea. Besides, I can think of far worse ways in which Australia's film industry has been screwed. For example, there was a miniseries back in the 1980's called The Thorn Birds which was based on the novel by Australian author Colleen McCullough. If memory serves, in the making of documentary it was stated that the producers wanted to film in Australia itself, but because of a casting requirement at the time that said they had to have x-amount of Australians in the cast, it was eventually decided that they would film the Australian scenes in Simi Valley, California so that they could use name actors like Richard Chamberlain to attract a wider audience. Now THAT is something to be outraged over, because Australia's film industry was screwed over in favor of attracting an audience.

Oh, and just for the record, I love Australian films and the people who work in the industry Down Under.
