Olympics Closing Mutilated By NBC! #NBCFails!
Awww DUDES!
NBC has been majorly criticized throughout their entire 2012 Olympic Games coverage, and THEN they go and cut half the Iconic British-musician STUFFED pie that was the closing ceremony in favor of some new comedy about an animal hospital…
Nice.
Legendary acts like The Who, Ray Davies of the Kinks, a special performance featuring a Kate Bush classic (above), and Matt Bellamy of Muse were completely cut OUT from the US' broadcast, and now new show Animal Practice is already surrounded by a toxic cloud of anti-NBC negativity. Frustrating to the maximus!!
Some took to Twitter to voice their outrage over being denied the full Olympic experience, including Glee's Kevin Mchale and Robot Chicken!
Kevin Mchale: DEAR NBC. "Interrupting the Olympic closing ceremony for an hr to air a show about a fictional animal dr. before it ends is a disgrace."
Robot Chicken: "Doing a Twitter search for 'Animal Practice' right now is like tapping a keg of pure hate."
Ahhhh well, better luck next year in 2014 at the Winter Olympics, NBC!
If you haven't lost ALL viewership by then…

You're a fucking moron. Animal Practice has been consistently panned by ALL critics who have been vehement in their recommendations to SKIP IT. NBC olympic coverage has nothing to do with the fact that AP is a shit show, dumb shit.
Coverage was great on Canadian TV. Live, complete, and very little commentary.
The whole thing was awful.
Not to mention the opening scene of the Animal practice show start off with a cute kitty jumping off the terrace of a 12 story building! Poor kitty!!
the whole experience was impressive, obviously some won't get the British humor that went into to For those that are saying it was awful, then obvioulsy your not into the olympics. Billions of people through out the common wealth and the globe watched with pride and fun.
They showed the who about two hours after it was over.. I'm glad I watched it live online because the tape delay version was just sad.
the whole thing was horrible from the opening to closing..horrible, horrible and boring.
If you have DurectTV like me in L.A. Your tv went BLACK for most of the ceremony!! Missed on a lot besides what NBC decided to cut out! So irritated.
In the UK, we had 24 streams of high definition tv, 3D daily broadcast and all available on playback. I understnd everyone was p!ssed off with NBC coverage but have NBC explaned why their coverage was so poor.
And we missed Take That and Gary Barlows emotional appearance…NBC sucked ALL round for coverage
I liked animal practice… BUT… I do agree that it was hella out of place last night, they should have just held it back til next Sunday.
that Kate Bush song is just breathtaking and always has been.
