She's not spilling!
And unfortunately, this one is a little more ambiguous than Dear John!
However, Taylor Swift HAS opened up about the process behind writing her new, instant-smash single, We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together, and revealed that during a recording session with songwriters Max Martin and Johan Shellback, she had a brief encounter with a mutual friend of her so-far unnamed ex-boyfriend…and the inspiration just came FLOWING!
“Writing ‘We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together’ was one of the most hilarious experiences I have ever had in the studio because it just happened so naturally. This guy walks in who is a friend of my ex's and starts talking about how he's heard we're going to get back together and that was not the case. When he leaves, Max and Johan are like, ‘so what’s the story behind that?’ And so I start telling them the story of break up, get back together, break up, get back together, just, ugh, the worst. Max says, ‘this is what we’re writing. We’re writing this song,’ and I picked up the guitar and just started singing, ‘we are never–’ It just happened so fast. It was so much fun.”
Sometimes, the biggest, clearest sign that you're on to something special is when it just comes POURING out of you like that!
And who can't relate to that kind of experience?
Some ex's just keep coming back to torture you, and now thankfully, we all have a song to help them get it through their heads that they are NOT WANTED ANYMORE! LOLz!
Thanks for the deets, gurl!
Now c'mon…give us a hint on the mystery clinger! Please?!
And if you've been under a rock the last 12 hours, or just want to re-play it for the 38th time in a row like us, listen to the latest from T-Swizzle (above)!
