Green Day Performs 2012 VMAs MTV Fifth Time Ain't No Dookie

Welcome to paradise, Green Day fans!

Your favsies band announced plans to rock the stage at this year's Video Music Awards and that ain't no Dookie!!

This marks the fifth time these punk rockers are performing at MTV's prestiguous award show, leaving the trio just two appearances shy of Madonna's regal record!

Between their upcoming album Uno and their hugely successful Broadway musical American Idiot, we think these dudes deserve a 21 gun salute for their hard work!

Other acts confirmed for the 2012 VMAs in September include Alicia Keys, Pink, and One Direction!!

Sounds like it should be an impressive show!

I agree it does sound like an impressive show! So happy to hear that Green Day will be performing! They’re classic and they deserve to be up there with Madonna’s number of VMA performances, they have accomplished a lot! I won’t be missing this and thanks to the suggestion of a Dish coworker, I’ll be watching on my phone. I like to watch using the Dish Remote Access app because it allows me to watch both live and recorded shows and set up DVR timers all on my phone. I love the convenience of being able to watch TV while I commute!
