We cried ourselves to sleep night after Arabian night while its Disney siblings were invited to become Broadway babies and Prince Ali was left in the dust!!

Alan Menken — the Oscar-winning musical producer responsible for a slew of successful Disney-to-stage adaptations — says they're prepping our street rat and his loving Princess (and their monkey!) for a Broadway run!!
What a glorious sigh of relief! It's like a magic genie granted us three wishes!!
The Lion King and Beauty and the Beast might be one jump ahead of Aladdin in terms of stage seniority but we are positive this musical will be epic!
Creators will even incorporate 3D glasses for the Cave of Wonders scene!!

I've actually seen one of the early experimental performances for this at the Muny in St Louis. it. is. terrible. i really hope they made some massive changes before making the decision to bring it to broadway
Tuacahn's version is amazing! - totally different from the Muny's. Tuacahn's production is the one with the 3D Cave of Wonders, A 30 ft. Water curtain with an animated Tiger God, real camels, peacocks….it's quite the spectacle and the cast is incredible! Dan Domenech (Rock of Ages) plays Aladdin, Haley Carlucci (West Side Story) plays Jasmine and Edward Juvier (Les Miserables) as Genie…just incredible. It plays now through October 19th. Go see it!
