The Midtown Men Get Happy On GMA!

| Filed under: Music MinuteBroadway BabiesPerezTVWill FerrellRobert Downey Jr.

So, so happy that they're together!

Couldn't resist, folks! We're in the Broadway SPIRIT!

Those crooning, hunkster, all-star cats The Midtown Men from the original Jersey Boys cast recently graced GMA with a delightful rendition of Happy Together (above)!

Ahhh, we are shaking our jazz-hands in SO much excitement for the movie version of this jukebox-style Broadway smash, especially if Iron Man/Elf director Jon Favreau helms the project!

And perhaps Will Ferrell and Robert Downey Jr. can join the cast as half of the Jersey quartet?!

Ha, best movie everrrr!

They are actually a touring show called Midtown Men… although, they were members of the Broadway Cast of Jersey Boys at one point! :) But other than that love the post!

You need to do a little more research on this one.

    a) This is a singing group called the Midtown Men. Yes, they were all in Jersey Boys on Broadway, but they formed a singing group that tours the country performing oldies live!

    b) This song, Happy Together, is NOT in Jersey Boys!! It was by a group called The Turtles, not The Four Seasons!

I've seen the original Jersey Boys cast on Broadway and a touring cast in Boston. These guys on GMA were absolutely HORRIBLE in comparison. The tempo of their songs was off and their voices were nasty. I certainly wouldn't pay to see them anywhere! They were more like some junior high band than someone who has the talent to make it professionally with their voices.

Re: lbucc – Uh, these guys were the ORIGINAL STARS of the Broadway cast and originated all their roles…Christian Hoff won the Tony for his portrayal of Tommy DeVito. It's their voices you hear on the Original Cast Album. Daniel Reichard played Bob Gaudio, J Robert Spencer played Nick Massi and Michael Longoria played Joe Pesci and also Frankie Valli. For someone who claims to be a JB fan it's amazing you didn't immediately recognize them as the original stars
