| Filed under: Film FlickersWhitney HoustonBusiness BlitzRobert PattinsonJeremy Renner

R-Patz, Whitney Houston, and a testorone-fueled explosion-fest?!

Yeah, there was no way The Dark Knight Rises could face off against ALL of them…at least in the box office!

That's right, Batman has finally been knocked out of the top five highest-grossing movies domestically this weekend, as The Expendables 2 dominated the competition by landing itself in the number one spot by raking in $28.8 million!

Meanwhile, Jeremy Renner's Bourne Legacy held steady at number two, making $17 million, and of course, Whitney Houston's final performance in Sparkle came in fifth with $12!

And despite it only playing in three theaters, Robert Pattinson's limited release of Cosmopolis managed to pull in $72,000…which gave it the weekend's biggest per-screen average!

Ah-MAZING! And so well-deserved!

Ch-ch-check out the full box office top ten this weekend…AFTER THE JUMP!

The Expendables 2, $28.8 million
The Bourne Legacy, $17 million
ParaNorman, $14 million
The Campaign, $13.4 million

I've seen Cosmopolis twice. It's a great movie, very intelligent and gripping.

Sad! I was really hoping "Sparkle" would've done much better! It was very good! R.I.P. Whitney!
