ABC a pretty sizable oops yesterday.
Following the on-air incident in which investigative reporter Brian Ross falsely declared a link between the Tea Party and Aurora, Colorado killer James Holmes, Good Morning America suggested that Tony Scott committed suicide because he "had inoperable brain cancer."
The director's widow had no idea what they were talking about and is calling the report incorrect, while ABC has changed their story's headline to reflect that the "brain cancer report appears in doubt."
AKA, they messed up!
The truth of the matter is, we'll know if the 68-year-old director had any ailments that may have influenced his decision to take his own life in the next 4-8 weeks. The El Lay coroner completed the autopsy on Monday, but is still waiting on toxicological and various other tests.
Hopefully, the medical team will shed some light on how we could lose such a visionary so young.
