Annie Remake With Willow Smith Slated For Spring Start Time!

| Filed under: Broadway BabiesFilm FlickersJAY-ZWill SmithWillow Smith

The Willow Smith starring dream concoction, Annie, finally has a start date!

As reported earlier, Will Smith is set to produce the reboot of the classic, featuring his youngest child in the revamped titular role.

THEN, if our minds were discombobulated enough, Big Willy has Jay-Z set to compose the new Annie along with MIB co-star Emma Thompson writing the flick.

Thompson states the new Annie will start production in the spring in New York let's just say she is ECSTATIC about the project.

The actress says the following on the reboot:

I've been writing the script for nearly three years - it's exciting.

Jay-Z has already started working on the music. We'll be having dinner. We will start shooting in the spring in New York.

Is there anyway we could sit in on that meeting too???

So they're going to turn Annie, which is a classic and has its own music already written, into some black rap-ghetto thing. Those people aren't happy if they can't make something black as coal, and it's ridiculous. Smith's daughter is ugly, obnoxious, and not nearly as talented as she deludes herself into thinking she is. She's too skinny, too tall, has hideous ears … and for those of you who are going to tell me I'm being "mean" to a child, fuck off. The critter puts herself out there, and a healthy dose of TRUTH is a good thing. It's liberal assholes like you who want to sugar-coat everything. Will Smith should keep his children at home, in school, instead of over-indulging them.

    Re: Yes You Bore Me

Instead of trolling the internet trying to get attention and stir up drama, why don't you go take your meds and have a nap?

Re: Yes You Bore Me – Hey, I'm a liberal and I agree with you!! Nepotism at its best!!

this, like Suri, is child abuse…can't they just grow up and leave us alone??
another future drugged out, wasted adult waiting to happen.

Thank God her parents have the money to buy their talentless kid a career. They would do better by making her concentrate on school and being a normal person.

Another remake??? What ever happend to creativity??? So many remakes of classics are really annoying, seems like Hollywood is running out of new ideas.

Re: Di – They haven't run out of new ideas, they are too lazy. Its always , one movie comes out, makes money and then its dozens of the same thing trying to cash in. Teen slasher movies in the 80s, wizards, vampires, and now its endless comic book heros. I stay at home and watch classics on NetFlix.

Ummm, Annie is a ginger with curly hair…..it's a classic for a reason. I understand you are Will Smoth but this is a really bad idea. It's like at xmas when you go to the quick stop in the hood and there are black Santa Clauses everywhere. Really really bad idea.

Re: Di – Ii agree, went to see the first version of Annie with my friend and we took her daugher. I think it was at the Shubert in Century City and it was great. This just sounds terrible, sorry.
