Ladies Of Comedy Remember Phyllis Diller

Earlier today, we lost one of the most important women in comedy, Phyllis Diller, at the age of 95.

Naturally, it was not only devastating to both comedians, but also…well…pretty much anyone who enjoys laughing.

Her fellow ladies of comedy have come out to honor the late Diller, including Ellen DeGeneres, Whoopi Goldberg, Roseanne, and Joan Rivers. These four ladies shared some thoughtful words and memories of the first lady of comedy:

Couldn't have said it better ourselves, ladies. She paved the way for so many women AND men, and her spirit and laugh will continue to inspire many more.

You will be greatly missed, Phyllis.

    Dearest Lady, I am so sad to hear of your passing,
    You always were and always will be a bloody legend.
    Thoughts to your family and friends.
    We have lost one of the greatest.
    Thank you Miss Diller, for all the laughs,memories and you.
    You will be forever remembered.
    My childhood was made all the richer for your presence.

    Phyllis was from my town… shes done wonders around the world.. and even though Glee might make us more famous (Lima,Ohio)… its Phyllis who really made this city shine.
