Johnny Depp To Pillage $75M For Pirates 5!
And deservedly so!
Just like the headline reads, Johnny Depp will make $75M for the fifth installment of Pirates of the Caribbean …supposedly.
Nothing's official, of course. But sources do say:
"Johnny is being very careful he does not sign on for too many films. This huge deal for Pirates means he will be able to pick his other roles very carefully on the strength of their script rather than their salary."
Gotta make enough for the kiddos!

That can't right. The benchmark for a single star in a movie has been 20mil. Been that way since Jim Carrey pocketed it for one of his 90's movies. However, if you count in a percentage of the assumed box office, the way Kristen Stewart got for the last Twilight (she ended up with 35 million so why give a damn about romance), then yeah, he might walk away with 75 million. But not as a upfront salary. Perez either doesn't know the whole story or is leaving out parts to make it more sensational.
