Hugh Hefner Calls Out Conservatives For Encouraging "Discrimination Disguised As Religious Freedom" In New Playboy Editorial!

Wow!

This isn't the first time Hugh Hefner has spoken out in support of gay rights, but we have to say…he's never been so eloquent as he is here!

With the 2012 Presidential election fast approaching, the 86-year-old Playboy founder dedicated his entire September issue's editorial to the current political climate in the United States today, and openly criticized the conservative agenda's inability to understand the separation between church and state!

He writes:

“The fight for gay marriage is, in reality, a fight for all of our rights. Without it, we will turn back the sexual revolution and return to an earlier, puritanical time. Today, in every instance of sexual rights falling under attack, you’ll find legislation forced into place by people who practice discrimination disguised as religious freedom. Their goal is to dehumanize everyone’s sexuality and reduce us to using sex for the sole purpose of perpetuating our species. To that end, they will criminalize your entire sex life. [Conservatives] assault the right of gays, whether by denying them to right to marry or, as in Kansas, by attempting to empower landlords, business owners and employers to discriminate against gays on religious grounds. In Arizona, under a proposal bill women who hoped to have their health insurer cover birth control would have been forced to provide their employer with proof they were taking the pill for a medical condition — not just for the purpose of avoiding pregnancy. A new Kansas law allows a pharmacist to refuse to sell someone contraception on the grounds that such a sale could violate the pharmacist’s religious beliefs. Similar laws already exist in Arkansas, Georgia, Mississippi and South Dakota. This is a religious nation, but it is also a secular one. … No one should have to subjugate their religious freedom, and no one should have their personal freedoms infringed. This is America and we must protect the rights of all Americans.”

We couldn't have said it better ourselves!

He really hits on important points that we think sadly, so many - half his age, mind you - either refuse to acknowledge or try and understand!

Thanks for your support of - and no-nonsense attitude toward - such important issues!

You're a breath of fresh air!

EQUAL RIGHTS FOR ALL!

I wouldn't base my opinions on what this old pervert has to say! Everyone should just shut up and let everyone have their own opinion.

Oh OK, I am going to listen to an old man who probably wets his diaper and sleeps(pays) with 3 nasty girls at one time. He really is a voice to listen to.

    He's a dirty old pervert.

Yes JaimeCO, everyone SHOULD be able to have their own opinion but the point is that people who are against gay marriage, are imposing their opinion on others. You can be against gay marriage all you want, you can even hate gay people if you want, but why should other people have to live by your morals? They're not harming anyone else…

Once again, prejudice and ignorance rears its ugly head. Just because he may not live his life the way YOU would does not mean that he is unintelligent or wrong. If you live in America and enjoy your freedoms (and don't want anyone to take them away, like your freedom of speech for instance) then you have to support freedom for ALL people. All colors. All creeds. All sexual orientations. Stop judging everyone and listen to reason. No one is saying YOU have to have gay sex. No one is saying that YOU have to use birth control. You have been given those freedoms. Now, how would you like it if someone took them away?

Hefner is a joke. It's easy for him to be so liberal because no one says no to him. He has made a fortune by building a soft porn empire on the backs of women he's used for his own gain; he has lost touch with reality, believing that the women he pays love him for who he is, not what he has. It's easy to be liberal when you're living in a world where there are no sharp edges; Hugh Hefner is a senile, perverted idiot. It figures you'd side with him, Perez, because you're a perverted idiot too.

"He really hits on important points that we think sadly, so many - half his age, mind you - either refuse to acknowledge or try and understand!" It's not that we don't acknowledge or try to understand, ass clown. We simply reject his perspective and tortured justifications. You're a homo. This means that you're a defective deviant. YOU refuse to acknowledge and fail to try to understand that what you do is as wrong as it is abnormal. It's easier for you to make excuses for yourself and to try to force people to accept your sickness than try to reform your life. Yours is not the only perspective, and yours is not the only understanding. But because you're a worthless, one-dimensional deviant, you are incapable of seeing it any other way. Everyone else is wrong in your eyes. You are as guilty of discrimination and blindness as those you accuse. This is why you're a failure on all levels.

Those American religious zealots have the same agenda as the religious extremist in Pakistan.
The pure hate against women and gays is sickening.

I couldn't have said it better. One persons religious beliefs should not trump another persons. People need to stop trying to bring church into state.
