Eva Longoria Speaking At The Democratic National Convention

| Filed under: Eva LongoriaPolitikBarack ObamaBill Clinton

Eva Longoria is very pretty and VERY politically minded.

We're not sure if she's planning on running for office any time soon, but she is definitely trying her hardest to make sure that Barack Obama stays in the White House.

The actress is already one of the 35 national co-chairs in the president's re-election campaign and will be speaking at the 2012 Democratic National Convention in September. She'll be one of the few celebrities joining a line-up which is sacrificing star power for powerful women!

Female leaders like Senate candidate Elizabeth Warren, California Attorney General Kamala Harris, President of NARAL Pro-Choice America Nancy Keenan, U.S. Senator Barbara Mikulski, contraceptive advocate Sandra Fluke and many more will be taking the podium to speak to the crowd between September 3rd and 6th.

Former President Bill Clinton is also scheduled to pump up the audience along with Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel and San Antonio Mayor Julian Castro.

In the past, the Desperate Housewives star has applauded Obama's fight for affordable healthcare, access to education, his support for the Hispanic community and his polices which "give everyone a fair shot at the American Dream."

i'm tired of celebrities giving us their opinion on politics… but maybe there is a solution. if i take a democratic economic idea and flip it this way –> how about a TAX (that's always a good solution) a special tax that is for celebrities, professional athletes, super models, reality show stars, tabloid magazine covers, people that spend 26 million dollars on a wedding, paid appearances and anything else in that vein… hmm maybe a 75% tax. they can afford it. i think everyone would feel so much better listening to their opinions if that was happening….

  4. 4

Why, oh forget it, I know why. It's the liberal thing to do, have no platform, just disctract the masses with celeb's and hype.

  5. 5

You actually called Sandra Fluke a "controception advocate", and labeled her strong? Why, stupid fuck, she's just a college kid who rightfully want's her inusurance to cover the pill, nothing more or less. You are such a dramatic fucking flaming queen.

The selective outrage and hypocrisy from Leftist women, blows my mind.
Their great keynote speaker, at this grand convention for women, is going to be none other then, William Jefferson Clinton, the rapist, sexual harasser piece of scum.
You could not write such a grand plot.
Many of these Progressives fear an electoral wipeout, with discouraged Democrats staying home.
They have every reason to stay home and hang their heads in shame for the anti-American in the White House.

If she was honest… she'd tell her fellow Latinos that reelecting Obama would mean that still be out of work 4 years from now. He could double his hot streak of 8% unemployment or higher at this rate

  8. 8

It is beyond obvious now that Obozo, for the good of the country, cannot be re-elected.
Only the most gullible, stupid or flat out America haters will vote for this 3rd-world idiot.
Shame on the Democrat Party and the MSM for foisting this dangerous dysfunctional nut job onto America.
Now, do the right thing and give a mandate to Romney/Ryan to undo this cesspool we're in.

Re: Yenkme – The Republicans made it so that he couldn't realize many of his promises. The Republicans created the biggest dept in history and they want to come back and repeat their past performance. You are blind.

Re: blackviolet – Unfortunately not my fiancées is part of the "private sector" he has a small business and is his only employee. He is so stressed everyday and it breaks my heart. His business is about 50% down and his property tax is insane. They assign an arbitrary value even though the market is way down and even if he chose to sell it would be at a big loss. Obama doesn't care about that nor is he fiscally responsible. The only jobs that are "semi" protected are government jobs. And they're out complaining about cuts to their benefits because the state is broke. Yet the rest of america has to cut back in their lives, everyone else has to learn how to make it with less money why not them as well? any way i don't really care who's president or what their personal beliefs are, we just NEED someone that will tighten up their spending and boost our economy and spend money smartly not by bailing out failing companies that are failing again… plus no one is bailing you or me out, right?

Re: overthere – BECAUSE THERE WAS A WAR!!!! Hello, everyone wanted to go to war after the twin tower thing… it was unavoidable. He was damned if he did and damned if he didn't. How that debt isn't justifiable in contrast to obama's nonsensical spending is beyond me.

  21. 21

Re: overthere – Keep telling your self this!! They wont pass more spending because they wont CUT the spending!! Wake up!!
Just like his campaign he is over spending what he doesnt have!!! He tries to answer everything with money and that has not worked. Push a healthcare without reading it!! Wow!! Really! Is this what we pay them to do???? Its GROSS!! This guy has divided this country is the only thing he has accomplished..
Do you really think he cares about the gays, illegals and needs the no ID for votes! Desecrate… Wake up

  22. 22

LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!! What a joke. How do the Dems expect to be taken seriously when Hollywood lightweights like this are scheduled to speak??????????? I'm sure there are smarter and more deserving Hispanics out there to help the Dems shore up the Hispanic vote. Good god.

Re: overthere – Don't blame it on Republicans. Democrats had a super majority during the beginning of Obama's presidency where he could have easily passed some of his legislation. Thank God it did not happen.

  28. 28

Not voting for him - fool me once …

  29. 29

Re: overthere – You are aware democrats had the majority of control towards the end of bush's presidency right?

  30. 30

Re: NookiesWA – I am. republicans were swept out for the horrible job they did- shutting down the government & spending us out of the surplus left to them. Yep republicans ran up all the debt & blamed Dems. Obama has not changed their big spending policies so it's still adding up. Too many Americans have amnesia & also like to blame the first black president.

Oh hardly. It's called a filibuster and after the special election in MA, Obama didn't even a full year of this "Supermajority, do whatever he wants" thing that you think he had.

  32. 32

Visitors to school lunch rooms and supermarket checkouts lines can hear the hungry saying: “Thank you Obama for picking up the tab”. EBT debit cards owners are also grateful for their lives being made easier. He has fed millions of stomachs that once growled with hunger; Obama can be thanked for being the best free food provider in American history.

What a joke, Hispanic spokesperson, while she is racist against darker Hispanics. I use to see her running around downtown SA with tony Parker acting like they were royalty, where rules applied to the little people, not her and tony. 1 night her and tony were blocking traffic talking to some friends that were walking, and it was more important than "little people" getting to work. My partner was just gonna give Parker a verbal warning, when Eva yells out "Tony he's just a mescan bike cop, probably wants our autographs". I was floored, I had thought she was classy, not a hood rat. My partner then wrote a citation then told her you're right, I'll start with Tony's right here on this ticket by the x. She then yelled fuck you then, and then tony starts trying to act like he's some gangster or something, I guess trying to show off to Eva, but it was just to funny for us to take it serious. We wrote the rpt everything she was saying. But she always treats darker skinned Hispanics like shit, most white people act better than she does. She called my partner a liar, using that worn out excuse why would I call him a Mexican when I'm Mexican, same excuse a white person uses when they say something racist, ow how could I be racist and say that when my wife is Hispanic, she's not as smart as she thinks, she tried to get this event silenced, even talking to the mayor, but it's still out there, they wrote it almost exactly how it happened.

Individual issues between the presidential candidates are not getting voters excited, that is why they are tied in the polls. Discovering their supporting base should give us a clue to why one candidate is not 20 points ahead of the other. Half the voters must prefer a dark horse that is the only logical conclusion. The candidate that gets the most racists to support him will become the next president.

    Ryan's FACTS:

¹ Ryan voted for GWB's failed Economic Stimulus Act of 2008 (on eve of Great Recession).

² Ryan votes for TARP, the bank executive bailout that sparked the TeaOP insurrection.

³ Ryan voted for the auto industry rescue AND the executive bonus claw back.

⁴ Ryan voted for the unfunded Medicare Part D prescription drug benefit.

⁵ Ryan voted for Iraq War (but hasn't admitted the mistake (as Biden has)).

⁶ Ryan vote "Yes!" for the debt ceiling bill last summer.

⁷ Ryan wrote a letter praising the "job creators" requesting Obama's 2009 stimulus money.

⁸ Ryan derailed the Simpson-Bowles plan that Romney supposedly supports.

⁹ Ryan's never worked outside a congressional office.

¹⁰ Ryan's family business began as and remains a federal public works contractor.

¹¹ Ryan married a corporate lobbyist.¹².

¹² Ryan so-called budget cutting keep $40 billion in subsidies for Big Oil companies.¹¹.

  36. Ajay Jain says – reply to this

Ryan can grandstand about the debt all he wants, but at the end of the day, Ryan is a root cause of many of the financial issues our country faces today.

From supporting two unfunded wars, to dumping millions of senior citizens into the Medicare Part D 'donut hole' while tying the hands of the government to negotiate prescription drug prices, and from fighting for subsidies for Big Oil that his family personally benefits from, to supporting the unfunded Bush tax cuts for the rich, Ryan's hypocrisy is astounding.

Ryan has been a steady voter for unwise bailouts of big banks, unfunded mandates and unnecessary wars. Few members of Congress have run up such very big tabs while doing so little to figure out how to pay the piper.

For all of Ryan's bluster, he is anything but a consistent advocate for fiscal responsibility and balanced budgets. He is, in fact, a liar and a hypocrite.
