John Lennon's Killer Denied Parole Once Again!

Mark Chapman Denied Parole Seventh

The man who shot and killed John Lennon won’t be seeing life outside his jail cell anytime soon…!

Mark David Chapman has once again been DENIED parole, after being sentenced to 20 years to life in prison after the 1980 murder of the former Beatle.

This is the SEVENTH time Chapman’s been denied, after requesting parole every two years since 2000.

Board member Sally Thompson, who was present at yesterday’s hearing, stated:

"Parole shall not be granted for good conduct and program completions alone. Therefore, despite your positive efforts while incarcerated, your release at this time would greatly undermine respect for the law and tend to trivialize the tragic loss of life which you caused as a result of this heinous, unprovoked, violent, cold and calculated crime."

Lennon’s killer pled guilty to second-degree murder in 1981, after shooting and murdering John in front of his Manhattan apartment building.

Chapman’s next hearing is scheduled for 2014.

    Re: perez posse number 777
He was just looking to kill someone famous, john lennon was just available… it's not who he killed it's why he did it and how depraved and indifferent his motive was…
maybe it will make other nuts think twice about doing it since chapman didn't get his fame or his freedom back ever

i will never understand how anyone convicted of murder should ever be released from prison…any crime committed with a gun should be automatic life in prison with NO parole…period, end of story.
