It looks like Sony will not be putting out The Interview at all.
In a statement, the studio said:

The ninth and final season of The Office is so close we can taste it!
We couldn't be more pumped unless John Krasinski let us eat sushi off his naked (and underrated) abdomen as we watched each new episode!!
Mmmm. We can taste that too, LOLz!!
Show-runner Greg Daniels vowed to return this final season to the awesomely epic glory we remember from the show's early days and now we know exactly how he plans to do it!
First and foremost, Andy Bernard returns from his summer vacay with a VENGEANCE!!
"David Wallace, who now owns Dunder Mifflin, sends Andy for Outward Bound-leadership training over the summer and he comes back pretty aggressively in charge."
Yes!! High-octane Ed Helms is our very favorite kind!
And what about Dwight's relationship with Angela? Or Pam's with Jim??
Greg was mum! He only said:
"All the main characters will have serial stories and relationship arcs. It will be more fun to experience the twists and turns while watching if I don’t spell it all out for you here."
Fair enough. Will you at least tell us how you plan to handle Kelly Kapoor's departure?
We're sure Mindy Kaling will return to take a bow but we will miss her weekly presence!!
Greg tell us not to worry because two very capable new characters will take her place. He offered:
"[Jake Lacy] and [Clark Duke] play Pete and Clark, two guys in their mid-20s who have been hired to go through the 4,000-plus unanswered customer complaint voicemails that Kelly leaves behind when she goes."
Ha! She would totes do that!
