Dear Perez, I really respect you and I don't want to protest against your thoughts. But do you think that people will have the same reaction if someone does the same thing in Vatican or a Sinagoga? I also think that there must be free speach for all but in an open space not in a religious house, the most big in Russia where people goes to pray…This is no respect for religion. If these girls did the same in Vatican or a Sinagoga people an celebrities wouldn't protect them so much…They do it only because it happened in Russia…But russian people are also religious and nobody schould did this in a Church! Thanks for pubblish me and all the best to you!AJ

I think the sentence was disproportionate to the "crime" but as a point of clarification, they weren't charged for "speaking their mind about Vladimir Putin" but for hooliganism motivated by religious hatred. They staged an illegal performance where they charged up the church steps that lead to the altar, pulled hats down over their faces, then jumped around punching and kicking for about thirty seconds during which time they used crude language & screamed at the parishoners to get rid of Putin and Kirill I, the Moscow Patriarch of the Russian Orthodox Church. Their actions had to be stopped by church security officials.

These women are assholes. There are more constructive ways to make things happen than what they're doing. I have zero respect and sympathy for what they did and how they did it; they showed zero respect and consideration for the people who were attending church and for the celebrants. And while you, you retarded homo, are so stupid that you raise the issue of basic human rights, some of those rights have to be EARNED. Those are OUR standards; they're no universal. But a moron like you seems to delude himself into thinking that our way is the only way, and that everyone else should conform. Thank god you have no influence, or everyone would be forced to act like a stupid glitter gay. I hope those two women are captured and sent back to Russia. There are supposed to be consequences to actions, and these two bitches need to learn that. No sympathy.

One hundred rooms and thirty bathrooms in the White House are not properly utilized; they could be filled with single men and women. It would add erotic activity to a dull atmosphere where only warm milk or fruit juice is now being served. House of Rothschild Champaign, Hip-Hop, and Gangsta music will keep the president jumping. The desk of the Oval Office will become a wooden mattress. Invitations to the 24/7 party would sell for 25 million bucks; the profits would go for re-election expenses.

    Fucking loser attention whores.

Re: polnick – Your tin foil hat's on too tight and it's clearly time to up your meds.

I feel for these young hooligans. Only the young would take on Putin, and think they could win.

Yes You Bore me, you really have sunken to all new lows I must confess. You can argue the politics of other countries, but freedom of speech is something worth fighting for. How dare you condemn these people for speaking out against a borderline totalitarian government.

Re: Drake X – Free speech? First, this is about a group of twats who didn't protest in public ( I would have supported that), instead, they invaded a church and did their little spasm. Was Putin in the church? Does he go there? No? They are not protesters, they are cowards who chose some place he was not at.

Rights aren't earned, you dolt, privileges are. That is the essence of what a right is.

Um…ok just to be clear, the U.S hasn't had the best track record either in terms of "free speech" and "civil liberties" either. So instead of pointing the finger at what other governments are doing to their own citizens, look at your own and see how thats working. Bit ironic, isn't it?

  13. 13

Regarding the subject, I am not catholic, or christian nor do I believe in a "higher being". I believe in the laws of nature. BUT I also believe in a respectful society. I might not believe what you say, I might not be your friend, or even be your enemy, but I WILL RESPECT YOUR HOUSE. What you do in your house is your business. And if I have a point to make to you, I will not go to YOUR house to desecrate it. What these idiots did was stupid, denigrating and disrespectful. It has NOTHING to do with free-speech.

Re: Meggie246524 – HA HA HA HA. He does that once in a while. Must be the salts.

  15. 15

Okay, so maybe protesting Vladimir Putin while in a church was a bit over the line, but two years in the gulag? That is just plain WRONG! Let's hope that TPTB can get their act together and set these girls free!

Completely agree with Yes You Bore Me's comment in the sense where he/she wrote that they should be sent back to Russia. Pretty sure Russia is its own country with its own laws and that they're wanted criminals who fled the country and should be put in jail since that's what the Russian government decided to do.

And I didn't realize that America's constitution act of Freedom of Speech applied to all other countries. Even though Russian's government is elected democratic right now, the acts of suppressing media and protestors looks like they don't have freedom of speech enacted. And it's not like the USA's government completely follows the freedom of speech act either. You know what would be cool? Is if we focused on our own government instead of one that we have no control over.

Because Russia is its own country with it's own government and their own laws and they can pretty much do what they want. Also, they polled people, and majority of the people tested said they thought the sentencing was fair. Seriously irritating how everybody gets their panties in a bunch over other countries but not their own.

Not saying that the sentencing was fair but it's not like all these petitions and statements are going to do anything. Actions come with consequences.
