But is it really a cover when Katy Perry is singing a song that SHE wrote for sweet Selenita?! TMLI was penned by Katy for SGS's latest album, When The Sun Goes Down, and Kaypers' original version is far more rock-pop than Selena's beat-heavy rendition.
But whatever, we adore BOTH versions of the tune, as each unique artist adds her own special flavor to Katy's fun yet scathing lyrics! Perhaps we can get a Katelena TMLI duet?!

As an owner of the SGatS CD of when the sun goes down, I must say, Katy's is by far the best! Selena's is just as good, but she's appealing to a more younger demographic than Katy. Love love LOVE KP's!!

It's not Katy's song…. She may have written it but Selena was the one who released it…… Plus Selena's label bought the song so she can do she want's with it….. She might not have liked the rockier sound….. In my experience Selena Prefers a lighter more Electro/Techno sound to Katy's Pop Rock sound.
