At least he let them down easy…sort of.
Ben Affleck has put the beat down on any persisting rumors that he is directing the Justice League movie.
Earlier this month it was reported he'd possibly been attached to direct the hopeful Avenger sized movie, but the director has confirmed with a source that he is absolutely not shooting the film.
Disappointing more than a few fans, Ben shared:
"I'm not working on the Justice League [film]. One of the problems with entertainment web sites is that they need to fill pages, and that's how rumors get started…Justice League sounds really exciting, but it's not something I'm working on."
We were warming up to the idea of seeing Affleck put his superb directing skillz to use on a ultra superhero movie like Justice League.
But alas, it wasn't meant to be.
Good news is we can officially say that Affleck is Gone Baby Gone off this film, so at least those rumors aren't messing with our heads anymore.
And now the studios can really go to
The Town on settling on a director who will be able to give this film Justice…League.
Sorry. We just couldn't help ourselves, ha!
