    The Foo Fighters are headlining the Midtown Music Festival in Atlanta, this September.

    Maybe he just meant the end of their European tour. I'll be celebrating my birthday weekend with them in Atlanta next month!!!

    So the obligitory "rock" band that gets rolled out at every award show is going on hiatus huh? Well, now what will they do? Start begging Aerosmith or Green Day to fill those "rock" seats? It's so sad, there are so many really great bands out there…ROCK bands I am talking about not little pop princess/princes…and they just don't get any airplay. Kids listen to shit these days, it's true.

    Foo Fighters are as garage non-poppy rock as they come! They are basically one of the only reasons the rock genre is still around. No idea what ElleFromVan is going on about, but she is seriously misguided.
    Also Foo Fighters aren't taking a break. Dave Grohl confirmed this on the foo fighters face book page. He just meant that he isn't going to see London for a while as london was the last of their current tour.

    God I hate the media so much… basically anyone with a computer can say anything without doing any research whatsoever. Dave was refering to England when he made those comments. Meaning, that's the last show they would play there for a very long time. After they finish the Wasting Light Tour they will take time away from the band to settle down after a year of touring and to probably write/record a new album (like they usually do after long tours).

    This is just a classic example of the media trying to create a story out of nothing so they can get a bunch of internet hits and people freaking out. There's nothing out of the ordinary going on here on the Foo Fighters front.
