We WILL remember, remember, remember!

It seems Fame really IS the movie that live's forever, as reportedly MGM Television has courted American Idol and Dancing with the Stars executive producer Nigel Lythgoe to revamp the 1980 movie/1982 TV series/2009 movie remake for a series dealing with the pursuit of fame in today's media saturated world!

Fame follows talented youths with BIG dreams, and presents the often unfair, yet sometime satisfying, quest for stardom!

President of Television and Digital at MGM Roma Khanna, recently shared:

"This is a great opportunity for MGM to partner with world-class producer Nigel Lythgoe, whose unmatched experience with telling the true stories of talented people striving for success will set Fame apart."

Oooo crayola-color us intrigued!

We ADORE the original Alan Parker directed movie musical — not so much it's 2009 remix — and Nigel would be THE man who could accurately and enticingly depict the modern day fame race…

Let the Fame games begin!

I liked the original Fame TV series. It was gritty and realistic, showing problems of inner city kids who had to deal with real life problems and the struggles involved with achieving their dreams. The school productions looked like SCHOOL productions. If they bring it back, I hope they do it in the same spirit and not go all high budget fantasy land on us llike they did with Glee.

They'll only ruin it. Some things don't need to be remade. Lythgoe needs to get off his lazy ass and come up with something NEW instead of doing "reboots."

Re: Yes You Bore Me – Gotta agree, tired of seeing reboots and sequels. Do not watch much TV so fortunately this will not affect me.
