Oh T-Swizzle, you're spanning alllll the genres in your new album! Red's gonna blast our brainz, we just know it!
It seems that Taylor Swift underwent a musical experimentation phase for her latest artistic endeavor, which we've already kinda witnessed in the hip-hop tinged, super poppy, insanely infectious We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together!
After a recent Red listening sesh, Rolling Stone magazine apparently experienced an eclectic mix of non-country sounds on the Nashville-based singer's album, including:
"…a howling, U2-style epic with reverb-drenched guitars [and a track featuring] a dubstep-inspired bass breakdown."
Ooooo!!! Sounds wondrously diverse!
We LOVE that the mega-talented Swifty is expanding her library of melodies, as we often find that our favorite songs combine aspects from multiple music genres!
Taylor also worked with a myriad of different producers/artists on Red (Adele, Max Martin) and the album even features a sweet, acoustic duet with our fantasy ginger boyfriend Ed Sheeran!
So freaking excited for Red, which smashes on to the scene October 22nd!
And we can't wait to see Taylor's Never Ever music video, which debuts on MTV tomorrow (Thursday August 30th)!!
