Shia LeBeouf Exposes Robert Redford's Militant Past In The Company You Keep Trailer

| Filed under: Film FlickersShia LaBeoufTerrence Howard

Ever since he finished filming the Transformers franchise, Shia LeBeouf has been getting pretty serious.

You can watch him play a Prohibition era bootlegger in Lawless this weekend and he's about to start bangin' on film in the next Lars von Trier movie, The Nymphomaniac. To add to his new image, we'll get to see him play an investigative journalist who exposes fugitive members of militant protest group The Weather Underground!

The 26-year-old stars alongside an incredible cast consisting of Hollywood veterans like Robert Redford, Susan Sarandon, Stanley Tucci, Nick Nolte, Stanley Tucci, Julie Christi and Terrence Howard in The Company You Keep.

The first trailer for the drama (above) features LeBeouf in the center of it all after a story he writes causes Redford's character to go on the run from the law after 30 years in hiding.

It looks like a top-notch political thriller if U ask us and should definitely make the world take Louis Stevens a little more seriously.

this movie looks more of something that would grow your acting skills. It makes me sad all these 19 year olds feel they have to do soft porn or even hard porn to be taken seriously. We would take them serious and as adults without it. We lose respect for them when they do this. there are other ways they can explore their new found sexuality in private

ROBERT REDFORD!! I would marry that man in a second even he were 1000 years old! Such a great actor, and still has a great head of hair :p Shia sure knows how to pick his movies. This one looks good. Two Shia movies in a year?? What a treat :D
