    So what if she is writing songs 14 year olds would write. That is her main audience- teenage girls so why would she change something that is working for her and making her millions of dollars. I think this song was about Jake Gyllenhaal. Can't wait to see the song she writes about the Kennedy guy when they break up.

    its that mindset of yours that makes sense yes but is the reason why music is disposable and not good art. the artist is non existent at the moment just characters playing artists i.e money making machines. if your drive is to just make money than more power too her shes doing great, if you want to be an artist then you have to grow and lead with you art not follow with what will make your fans happy. taylor is marketed as an artist so people expect her to grow but she isnt

    I have a feeling, or at least I hope, that this song is just a one off or at least a minority for the new album. Like what Avril did with "What the Hell." Taylor's work for the Hunger Games soundtrack was AMAZING and showed clear signs of growth and the potential she really has. I don't hate this song, it's catchy in that annoying guilty pleasure way, and anything that is tongue in cheek is always pretty fun. But she said RED would be a dark and sad album, so I am hoping this is just to draw a charting hit as opposed to the style of the entire album. Love Taylor.

    Maybe she is writing a song on behalf of Selena Gomez. Justin and Selena supposedly break up all the time. She talks about how he thinks his song is better than hers and Taylor even says "never say never" in her lyrics. Just a thought.

    While I don't like her song, it's too middle school for me to relate. That doesn't matter cuz I don't have to like every song ever, but what bothers me is the video… That guy that is supposed to be her boyfriend does not look like he would ever be dating the girl she is portraying (which is probably her real self just judging by the outfits). And I can't really see this song being about Jake because he does not seem like the type that would be calling to get back together or talking to friends to talk to her friends to talk to her… they probably didn't even have mutual friends.

    I like Taylor and her music, but this video was not good in my opinion. Her worst video, this one. Looking forward to her album in October, though.
    But about the "Taylor grow up"-comments. Sorry, but other artists hardly have more mature lyrics than Taylor. Or would you call those gangster rap lyrics "I'm gonna bang ya, bitch" and the likes or songs like "Raise your glass" by Pink (nothing against the song, it's catchy) mature? No they are not. Why should a 20-something year old not sing about things like Taylor does in her songs? Probably half of my friends would and they are hardly immature or childish. She sings about her life and it works. People like it, because they can relate to it.
    One comment I totally agree with: "what do people want her to do, write songs about being a slut and talking about sex? …" —> Very well said. All power to you, mate.

    I love how everyone is telling her to grow up like it happens overnight, not to mention, this covers the past few years of her life when she was younger.     i LOVE the song but not so much the music video, it's just too pop-like and taylor is better than that, her country songs like mean and love story are amazing, and so is safe and sound & eyes open, she should do more music like that. i think her music is relly pop-like these days because the songs are not written entirely by her, she has co-writers who write songs for the pop music industry. taylor should stick tgo country and her own song writing because thats what i love the most about her. she was born a country star and stick to being a country star. if not then a mixture of both counry and a tiny bit of pop which will just make her more famous and different from every other singer, it'll make her unique,, not that she isnt already. i love her for who she is, not for what she's becoming just so she can be more famous

    It's a catchy song and cute video!!I have a 12 year old daughter that LOVES Taylor and I think she's a good role model for young girls .

    If you think her music is 'childish' or she should grow up then just listen to someone else… No need to hate!!

    Taylor Swift changed the direction of country music and I'm shocked that Snooty Nashville did not even raise their eyebrows and run her out of town on a rail but they fell wonderstruck under her spell too… but to their own detriment.     For The Song : Well, I never find any 'BROKE UP' song that more perfect than this, I mean how could she change "We Are Never Ever Ever Ever Getting Back Together" into a song that much Cooler than this?

    For The Video : I Learnt that every Music Video that she made was like always Flawless -Love Story- or her cute MV in -You Belong with Me- (in the end she's flawless and get the guy she loves) but this video ? yes she's flawless (for the first time she appears) look at her bangs and her red lips, i just thought this Video is really her. Kind of girl that now maybe had everything she wants, and still the guy has dumped her (I don't care who were her EX is). and yes, to every guy that dumped a good girl (even she's cute or a nerd or anything),
    IF you were a BROKEN heart, and want to move on, TRY THIS SONG

    Maybe You never ever feel this song as a good one, and try to say that Taylor have to be mature, grow ups or anything, BUT believe me, this song is really a perfect one for someone who wants to move on, remember how good enough she was, and remember how she deserves for a better GUY than before.

    I think the song was evident on who it was about and the video is now more clear that was indeed about Jake G. What I have notice is that in every song she has written about her past relationship was "always in love" and thought it was "forever", which is a throw off considering she's only with the guy for like a month.

    I am 58 years old, Black American and a grandma and I LOVE this song. As a Pastor I run courses in healing from divorce. We use all sorts of music to express feelings from "I Hate You" to "Hit The Road Jack" The first songs are all about being angry. The second set of songs are about healing such as, "I Haven't Got Time for The Time" or "I Believe When I Fall In Love This Time It Will Be Forever." This song will be a "bridge" song between hurt and healing because it is so cheerful. I had several people shouting the lyrics and hollering "WHEEEE!" along with the folks in her video because one of the nicest feelings in the world is knowing that after an awful relationship that WE ARE OVER forever! It can be a great comfort when you've been hurt.
