Oogieloves Has WORST Box Office Opening Weekend Ever!

This is one accomplishment we're sure the filmmakers wish they didn't get.

The Oogieloves in the BIG Balloon Adventure opened this weekend and earned a horrible $448,131 from 2,160 theaters in its debut three-day weekend.

That amounts to a $207 per theatre average.

Wow.

Not only that, but the film cost $20 million to produce and another $40 million to market.

We're sure the producers of this film are feeling dizzy just reading those numbers.

Don't worry - you'll get 'em next time!

On second thought - maybe you won't

    Is the purple one "GAY"?

This is great news. They were planning on making 2 more. The commercials were the most disturbing thing I ever saw on TV. These were independently financed so someone lost BIG BUCKS. Cheap unimaginative crap like this for kids is turning U.S. Children into bland boring people.

Well they deserve it for putting so much money into such a stupid movie. Just because it's a movie for kids doesn't mean they don't need any standards for quality

When I first saw the ad for this movie, I thought it was a joke. I kept waiting for it to cut off and the real commercial begin..

Really? Someone spend 60 million on that turd?

When I read the headline I was like "well they probably only spent like a million to make it".

That is what they get for featuring a song, "Starships" by Nicki Minaj, which…in its unedited form, uses the words "Get higher than a motherfucker" (a reference to drug use, if the curse words aren't bad enough)…and "Butt-fuck who you like". I mean, this was a rated-G children's/family film…and they couldn't pick a better, more family and child friendly song??? Serves them right! This has to be hand of God stuf!!! True instant karma at work. I'm no prude, but you have to have some boundaries when it comes to kids .Not that the unedited version of the song was used in the film, but the association with the original version is bad enough.

Where did this frightening HR PuffnStuff Crap come from anyway? Why was this supposed to do great business? Was it a TV show somewhere? It was just odd and had NO lead-up and… Wow.
