True Blood's Sixth Season Will Have A REDUCED Number Of Episodes!

We don't know about you, but after the INSANE finale of True Blood a few weeks back, we think waiting for the sixth season to premiere next summer is going to SUCK!

Just like the show's promotional campaign always says! Ha!

But unfortunately, according to creator and former show runner, Alan Ball, there's going to be LESS of what we're waiting for when Sookie and friends return!

That's right, although every year so far has had 12 episodes, the sixth season is only going to have ten!

But while the economy factors into the decision, it's mostly so Anna Paquin can have her twin babies, due in November!

As he explains:

"We're moving production to January to accommodate her. And there will only be 10 shows next season partly because of Anna and partly because of the economics."

Ugh! Well we can't very well be disappointed because of that, can we?!

Gurl needs time to spend with her babies! No fault there!

Although if there IS going to be a reduced number of episodes, they had EACH better be EXCEPTIONAL!

And by that, we mean Viking Vampire Eric better be naked in EVERY single one!

Good, I'm sure the DVD pack will be 20% cheaper which I would like due to current economics.

Well, that is just a load of crap! This worries me that season 6 may be the last season for True Blood. Whatever, perhaps it is for the best! This show is tanking storyline wise anyway.

Re: eicarr – Should be, but doubt it will be! Greed ruins all good things doesn't it?

Seriously! The show sucked this year and I hated the ending. I think I'm done with TB it has lost is sparkle with me.

this season was weird and weak compared to all the others. it is also the first time a season ended without ending. it is in cliffhanger mode and i don't like it especially because you have to wait an entire year for it to return. i am sure it will be over next season.

Re: kalijuri – Not sure if this is a joke. Every season has ended with an enormous cliffhanger. The show is known for it…

I was pissed that the last season had NOTHING to do with the book, but 2-3 months to lose all that baby weight is going to be nuts and hard on her

Don't like that the Season is going to be reduced by two episodes.
Can't wait to see what's going to happen.
Wish that Bill Compton had stayed dead instead of regenerating into "Bilith".
Season 6's episodes have to be "tighter and we must clear up storyline of who
    killed Sookie/Jason's parents.

    Kalijuri:
Alan Ball hasn't been following the books for sometime now~he departed them in
about Season 4 when Sookie told Eric & Bill that she needed time alone.

cliffhangers have been the way to close seasons of shows since the 1980's
"Who Shot JR" in the Original Dallas~ they make viewers turn in next season.
I know that I'm going to tune in for Season 6.
I want to see Eric &Sookie get away from Bilith.
