| Filed under: MTVMusic MinuteAwardzTaylor SwiftVMAs

We are never ever going to get enough of THIS!

Taylor Swift took to the 2012 MTV Video Music Award stage to show the world that last is certainly not least, and turned the stage at the El Lay Staples Center into one massive dance party with her INFECTIOUS, wonderful performance of her new single, We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together!

Ch-ch-check it out (above)!

We don't know if it was her spot-on vocal stylingz, her Feist-esque background dancers, or that HIGHlarious band of Furries she brought with her from the music video, but gurlfriend had us up and shaking our booty along with her within SECONDS!

Talk about the PERFECT closer to an INCREDIBLE night of music!

Well-done, GURL!

Way to go. You showed the evil step mom kathy lee and her gifford step daughter kennedy they are over. You are the new kennedy in town, biatchas

Yes, for sure. A PERFECT close to a disgusting show. This song was the icing on the disgusting cake. Taylor's audience is now 10 year olds. What happened to the cutie pie who sang country western music with heart and soul? This song is so bad, it's hard to even listen to. It's worse than a Disney song. Unbelievable. It was just a bad show. Period. Except for One Direction — they were the bright spot of the evening.

Re: fancypants66 – So if we follow your logic, Ms. Swift has the 10-year olds and One Direction has the 8-year olds — whom you like.

I missed the show, but I can't bring myself to watch anything new from this girl anyway. Doing some research, even her apparent political views suck.

She's not a sweet girl, she's a bitch. Pure, simple and getting worse, and in my opinion, the sooner she quits music, the better. Be the next Jaki O, pen a childrens book, fuck try your hand at acting (at least then your personal views are kept to yourself, subtle. Learn subtlety Miss Swift), just get your skinny, no tits, untallented ass the fuck out of music.

she's never going to keep a boyfriend if she writes shit songs about all her exes. unless they're 18

Re: Bob Papanos – At least One Direction was entertaining. I'm just saying that Taylor has dropped her audience base, by the content of this song, to a much younger crowd. I don't really know the audience for One Direction, but at least the group has some talent. I suppose at the end of the day their lyrics aren't much better, but, in their defense, they don't write their own songs — they just sing something that someone else gave them. They can carry a tune, at least. More than Taylor at this point.

Thing is, that in a few years Taylor Swift will still be around making music and will probably still sell lots of albums, while your One Direction will most probably be broken up and forgotten. Their will always be a "newer and better" band to replace them.
Taylor writes and sings about her life and people can relate to it. Not only "10 year olds" as you say. I think anyone who has been a in not so great relationship and broken up with someone can relate to her songs. So why would it be immature to sing (or listen to songs) about "never, ever getting back together"? It's what many people think about their exes. And you can't expect an artist not to try a new sound. Pretty much any artist does try at some point.

I find her to be extremely annoying. Same with Katy Perry.

Unbelievably sophomoric & immature, couldn't listen to the whole thing. Grow up girl, and move on from the ex-bitching. And get a STYLIST, you are not 12, the pokka dots and strips, waisted dresses and high waisted bathing suits are hideous! I'm embarrassed for you, especially when u r with the Kennedy's.

  11. 11

Re: fancypants66 – Disney songs are awesome, shut up.

  12. 12

Re: terija – You think she needs a stylist because YOU don't like her clothes. Well I love them so why don't you invest in a stylist? Oh yeah, cause it's none of my goddam business what you wear. Grow up.

  13. 13

I have a hard time trying to figure out if Taylor Swift was trying to do a new style and came out with this in the process or is just trying to make more bags of money. I think she has talent but this new song does not go with her aging target audience. Maybe it's to reacquire the tweens? Either way, I hope that this song is one of the only ones like it on Red. None-the-less, this performance was good.

I used to love Taylor Swift…
I thought this song was shit when I first heard it and I still do.
She looks like a bitch in this video..

  15. 15

she's going to be really beautiful when her hips come in

  16. 16

I actually LOVE her style. So sick of seeing vajajays hanging out dragging on the ground

Taylor Swift's idea of pushing herself to the limit is laughable. I was hoping it meant that she'd really go with some complex song idea or increasingly complex music, not changing clothes. However, I cannot find a good reason as to why she is so successful other than her fans are bewitched by some type of magical spell each time they receive a tweet from Swift.

  19. 19

    the whole show sucked…

  20. 20

Wow. She was amazing. Best performance of the night hands down.

  21. 21

    Re: dodgyend – Agreed.

  22. 22

I don't listen to her music but from what i read and am bombarded with it's like she's time locked in the 8th grade and getting worse. Doesn't she complain and make fun of people in like all of her songs now? That's not showing maturity.

Is that a tattoo on her neck?!

  24. hattie says – reply to this

The best song ever. Taylor is the greatest singer of all time.

It's unbelievable that this girl has a career in singing. She is the worst professional singer I've ever heard, and the worst trite song writer as well…

  26. 26

LOVED IT! She is amazing. I love the way she does what she wants and ignores the haters. Looking forward to her wedding being on tv ;-)

If u r gona critcize her music, make sure u have something better than her u have. Its her music, so what if shes starting to go through pop? Do YOU have a career like hers? Do YOU have the glorious fame like her? No , so if u happen to happen to have anything like her, go ahead. Shes got all those by following her dreams, so look at her now . Now that shes finally got, it would be great if you shut up and actually look at yourself for once and look at her! Shut the hell up bcz she has something u dont! And if u dont have anything SHE has, than make sure u r perfect before judging her!!!!

Re: fancypants66 – I think One Direction was the low point of the VMAs. Atleast Taylor writes and produces her music and changes her music between each album, instead of staying the same and never changing her style. And you want to say Taylor doesn't sing country music anymore? This is country music. If you listen to the lyrics and background music, you would probably know. But I guess you probably do as you're such a country music fan :)
