The director admitted with some guilt:
Maureen Orth's Vanity Fair exposé on Scientology's hunt for Tom Cruise's third wife is nothing short of cray cray, but hold on to your hats because there is PLENTY more where that came from.
We heard all about how the Church was originally grooming actress Nazanin Boniadi for the role of a lifetime, which famously went to Katie Holmes after Boniadi pissed off both her A-list boyfriend and his BFF, David Miscavige. Now we've learned of a few MORE disturbing deets from the story that hits newsstands TODAY!
After a short, but intense courtship, the actor's relationship with Boniadi went way south, way fast. By January of 2005 she was asked to leave his home and move into the organization's Celebrity Centre, but get this…Cruise couldn't even break up with her himself!
A Scientology official had to break the news to her and informed the poor girl that her man could not be disturbed!
When she asked for an explanation, the official reportedly informed her that their prince “wants someone with her own power—like Nicole." The bearer of bad news allegedly explained the situation like this:
“Naz, you can lead a horse to water, but you can’t make him drink.”
No wonder she "had a total and complete breakdown" after the split! Tom Cruise not only dumped her in the worst and most selfish way possible, but she was then sent down to a Scientology center in Florida that treated her like some kind of slave.
The Church is in full blown denial of these events, but there are just so many disturbing details pouring out from ex-members and other sources that it's hard NOT to believe. And there's still A LOT more to be revealed…so stay tuned, folks!
