Robert Pattinson Cozies Up To Ashley Greene, While Kristen Stewart Goes Home Alone

There were more that 2500 miles separating Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson last night. However, it seems distance in no way made their hearts grow fonder.

While KStew braved her first public appearance since the ugly truth about her affair with Snow White director Rupert Sanders leaked at the TIFF premiere of her new movie, R-Patz basked in the glow of the VMAs and Twi-hard love in El Lay. While Kristen admitted to sources she was “fine,” it sounds like Rob is doing just a little bit better than that.

According to sources, once the VMAs wrapped, Rob made his way to the SoHo House with some friends …. and his Twilight costar Ashley Greene. The pair partied the night away in the “comfort” of their friendship, laughing and keeping a low, intimate profile.

Onlookers reveal:

"He was smiling and really enjoying himself, chatting to his friends. He [seemed] committed to having a night out with close, trusted friends and he didn't break away from the comfort of them."

Sounds really nice! Getting by with a little help from his friends! Maybe one of them will turn out to be more than that!

Meantime, we’re not sure what Kristen did following the screening of On The Road. We’re thinking she’s not quite ready to return to the party scene … at least not until after she faces Rob again!

    The photo you used was from the promotional tour. Is Rob going to be linked to everyone? How come she didn't go up on stage to present the video with the rest of the cast. I personally wouldn't want Rob with her. She is no saint.

    SO HAPPY FOR ROB! Getting on with his life is the best revenge! Kstew can do curl up in a hole somwhere for all I care, she deserves the hate. What a face she puts on, cant even b nice to the fans that r trying to meet her (god knows why) and why the hell does she have any fans left!? If they support her behaviour that says ALOT for them. I met her in Australia and she was all sweetness and smiles but she is a spoilt little girl and she needs a good kick in the behind for what shes done. I dont care how sorry she is, what she did was wrong and I for one am NOT going 2 let her forget it. Robert is a lovely guy and so happy he is moving on in such a positive way.     To the staff of PerezHilton.com please update this story. I have seen this same picture prior months before your byline headline shown above. Ashley was not at the VMA's that was Elizabeth Reazer she was the only woman from the Twilight saga there to represent the new BD2 final film. Ashley is busy promoting her new move. And se is dong it alone w/o her former castmates. Robert is like her brother for which he played. On the VMA's in their speech, Taylor Lautner even said we were a "family" throughout the filming of this series before passing the mike to Robert. I am sure Robert does view Ashley as a sister, friend, and castmate. And knowing him who holds friends dearly, they all will be so for years to come. Including Kristen as he said in the movie "you will always be my Bella" (sadly she won't be his Kristen…but we move on… such is life).

    Looks like Ashley's publicist at their work again. Ashley would not have missed the chance to be on stage if she had been anywhere nearby, hence the Soho House sighting seems incredulous.

    Even more unbelievable is that Rob would have any interest in Ashley. She's as dim as they come and enjoys her 15mins of fame way to much.
