NBC has just announced the brunette beauty is joining the cast of Saturday Night Live this season, making it an even THREE newbies from Chicago!
Late last week, news leaked that Cecily's fellow Second City performers, Aidy Bryant and Tim Robinson, had signed on to the cast. Clearly Lorne Michaels realized they needed more than two people to fill Andy Samberg, Kristen Wiig and Abby Elliott's over-sized clown shoes!
We hear Strong's credits include the Second City national touring company and training from the iO Theater — just like the great Tina Fey did!
Do these midwesterners have what it takes to re-vamp the sketch show?
We sure hope so!
We'll have to pray and tune into SNL’s season opener September 15 to see how they do!!
