Chris Brown's Fortune Threatened Because Of His Assault On Rihanna?

chris brown domestic violence disclaimer stickers rihanna fortune

Nothing ever seems to go easy for Breezy these days!

While Chris Brown remains one of the biggest recording artists in the world, many former fans refuse to forgive him for savagely beating Rihanna back in 2009.

Many are OUTRAGED, in fact, by his continued popularity and now a few of them aim to misbehave!!

Copies of his album Fortune are being vandalized stickered at British record stores by unhappy citizens trying to persuade potential customers to buy anything else instead!

The disclaimer (pictured above) reads:

"WARNING: DO NOT BUY THIS ALBUM! THIS MAN BEATS WOMEN"

Ouch.

CB is very obviously still living in the shadow of the horrendous crime he committed three years ago.

Between the outrage over his neck tattoo that resembles RiRi and this new sticker fiasco, it's fair to wonder whether some fans will ever set down the haterade and turn up the music again!

That's bizarre. Do they put warning labels on all artists who have committed offences, or just Chris Brown? While I totally agree that beating a woman is reprehensible, it is the misogynistic lyrics of so much music today - especially rap - that is even more reprehensible.

He beat A woman, not multiple women….. and he hasn't done it since. I think he has changed but people just can't let this thing stay in the past.

That is immense! He got away with that crime and to an extent she let him, which is by no means my trivialising the horror she suffered.
I'm just glad I'm not the only one who thinks he's scum.
And to those who will say "He's paid his dues, give him a break". He hasn't. He's publicly vented his anger issues on a fair few occasions since the Rihanna incident.

  4. 4

If they've gotten past this chapter in their lives, we should respect their privacy.

  5. 5

What's this 'refuse to forgive' and 'living in the shadow' crap?
He's unrepentent and takes no responsibility for his bludgeoning at least several women. I won't give him any more of my money, either.
His new tattoos are further proof of his not understanding his thought processes, words and actions are wrong and repugnant.

  6. 6

I think that is pure vandalism. Could you imagine if every criminal in the music industry had to face these consequences? What would of happened to Michael Jackson if everyone actually called him out and blamed him for being the child molester he was?

No one knows WHY he did it except for Rihanna, and she has forgiven him. Clearly there is more to this than has been reported in the press.

Can't people give this guy a break? What he did ONE night to ONE woman (not women) was heinous, but he has been spending the last almost 4 years trying to heal and change clearly as his work with the domestic violence program in LA shows. It's a fact that he and his mother were victims of domestic violence for 7 years. We should be encouraging him as he works hard to become a better man. Not tearing him down again and again. I'm sick of these Haters. You have poison in your blood.

To those of you saying giving him a break it only happened ONE time. You are all delusional. This was not an isolated incident.Someone does not just snap ONCE and hit a woman. They are innately abusive people. Rihanna was not the first and won't be the last. But him being a bad person does not take away from the fact the he is very talented.

"…it's fair to wonder whether some fans will ever set down the haterade and turn up the music again!"

No, no it's not fair to wonder. This statement is coming from the same organization who boldly stated "Violence is never the answer" after you got beat down by the guy from BEP's. You don't forgive shit like this, he almost killed her…why should his celeb status protect him from vengeance?

    Nice job hypocrite hilton

@common sense, you're very wrong. Go research domestic violence, better yet, work in the mental health services and you'll see why.

Everyone else: I'm so sick of hearing about his "reprehensible" behavior. Despite the fact that we are 100 years into the fight for women's rights, we continue to use word's like, "Woman Beater". Really? All this term does is perpetuate society's inferior view of women. A woman would never be labled, "Man Beater". It's such a stupid term. Chris did not beat Rhianna- Chris and Rhianna fought. He did not beat her- in fact, I'm convinced she struck him first. They-as in both of them, as in both are at fault- fought, she obviously got the worst of it. Get over it, move on. Thanks for reading all of this.

Re: PiXiEgYpSy – Except he was not and was found innocent by a jury.

  13. 13

Re: Okay. – I DO work in the field. It DOES NOT happen once. I suspect you are related to him to come on here and say such nonsense. This man will have other instances of this happening as he has NOT worked on his issues, that is clear, it's only a question of when.

I can't believe people are talking about this like it just happened yesterday. It's the past. They have moved on with their lives. CB is not the only man that's beat a women. It wasn't a nice thing to do, but it's done and over, let it go. If people like his music they are going to buy anyway.

  15. nessa says – reply to this

    15

wow that's really horrible that they did that… I don't understand how people can be so mean at times. If you don't like his music don't listen to it, it's just that simple..

Re: Okay. – I also work in the field, and it never happens once, he WILL do it again. Not only that, to all the people saying he has learned from the incident and has change, sorry but you're delusional, and has never shown the slightest bit of remorse for what he has done. It is also sickening that people are saying things like "it's in the past" is this really the attitude people are adopting on domestic abuse? Would anyone ever say such a stupid thing if it were about murder or rape? I doubt it.

  17. 17

he's lucky he's not in prison where he belongs…

Re: PiXiEgYpSy – the thing is there was no hard core proof on MJ but Chris Brown is another story. I think it's the fact that CB shows no remorse and is cocky that puts a lot of people off I can't blame them really.

  21. 21

Guess he still needs to be reminded people has not forgotten. Probably a good thing for his new girl friends as well.

Re: rosebud99 – This isn't an official British thing to do, it is some people out there who made some stickers and took it upon themselves to go to stores and place them on Chris Brown albums. You comment alot, and tend to overthink things alot too I have noticed, especially on stories from Britain. Like when you tried to question the Queen's birthday celebrations for the public where you tried to say that an entire country and THEIR tradition and way of doing things was misguided…

  23. 23

things shouldn't go easy for him, he's not even talented and he doesn't give a shit about what he's done. he's a piece of shit

  24. 24

GOOD! he's an unapologetic piece of SHIT and he deserves to go down. karma's a bitch, asshole!

  25. 25

I have my stickers ready for Aguileras new cd. It says THIS WOMAN IS EATING ALL THE WORLDS FOOD SUPPLIES WHILE BABIES ARE STARVING IN AFRICA. You likey?

  26. 26

Oh boo-hoo! like that's going to hurt him! Poor Chris Brown he is being bullied with stickers! give me a break! they have all the right to sell the albums in any way they want, its their store, is not like they hit women!

  27. Jennifer says – reply to this

    27

The facts are that he BEAT her, also said he was going to kill her. If people don't like those facts well im sorry maybe you should get over that people are going to always hate on chris brown for beating rihanna. If he was so sorry he would do more things for abused women make it a statement that he wants to be forgiven..but he hasnt. He has lashed out and done violent things at appearances. He has basically said "fuck all of you" and as for rihanna she is no angel in this matter. she is clearly an attention whore who has mental issues

living in the shadow? really perez? the fact that he has been welcomed back into the industry is absolutely disgusting. he deserves all the hate he gets

Re: J_fox – I also work in that field and these two people were young at the time of the incident. When the story first broke I said to myself there's a piece missing to this story. Then I search and came up with the couple's statement. I was young just like we all way and had fights but we were young and I am older now and have not had a fight with anyone else. Men get beat also by women and because of their pride they hide it while the woman become the victim. I am a Director of a DV prorgam and have seen this happen to alot of young boys/men. Long story short Rihanna is a violent person. When she can brake a bottle over her own brother head where's he had to get stichers. Another incident people who actually seen Rihanna slap Chris many times because of being jealous of his fans. So please

  32. 32

    Re: litnight

Well said litnight, I agree. This guy has never accepted he has a problem and there is no evidence he has tried to (willingly) get help. He displays anger in tv show green rooms if he is asked about the incident and on one occasion threw a chair at the window of a morning show resulting in glass falling to the ground (it is very lucky that no one was killed). He obviously has a rage issue but instead of owning it he spends his time talking about his haters and how it's not fair that ppl question him about it blah blah.
I have NO DOUBT that Rihanna's current situation with him (being all friendly) is just a ploy to get his popularity back and she was probably asked to do it. It has backfired though because nobody thinks 'Oh look, he is a nice guy after all' they just think Rihanna is an idiot…which she is.

  33. 33

All this guy has to do is make a statement saying he realizes he needs help then go to rehab for a few months then when he gets out ppl will give him a chance…that's all he has to do and he'll see the change in his cd sales considering that's all he cares about.
Maybe he can do that after his current girlfriend pisses him off and makes him angry!

Half of the people commenting on this are delusional. Chris Brown is very talented, yes, but that does not take away the fact that he beat up a woman. I find the double standard in the industry amazing: Chris Brown can beat a woman and still be successful, Kristen Stewart cheats on her boyfriend (which in my opinion is a far less serious crime, because it isn't even one) and everybody calls her a slut and she gets dropped from her new movie. I'm sorry but, what? In what world is that fair. Chris Brown should be dropped from his label like the scum he is. He had his chance in the limelight and he obviously couldn't handle the pressure.
