That's bizarre. Do they put warning labels on all artists who have committed offences, or just Chris Brown? While I totally agree that beating a woman is reprehensible, it is the misogynistic lyrics of so much music today - especially rap - that is even more reprehensible.

That is immense! He got away with that crime and to an extent she let him, which is by no means my trivialising the horror she suffered.
I'm just glad I'm not the only one who thinks he's scum.
And to those who will say "He's paid his dues, give him a break". He hasn't. He's publicly vented his anger issues on a fair few occasions since the Rihanna incident.

Can't people give this guy a break? What he did ONE night to ONE woman (not women) was heinous, but he has been spending the last almost 4 years trying to heal and change clearly as his work with the domestic violence program in LA shows. It's a fact that he and his mother were victims of domestic violence for 7 years. We should be encouraging him as he works hard to become a better man. Not tearing him down again and again. To those of you saying giving him a break it only happened ONE time. You are all delusional. This was not an isolated incident.Someone does not just snap ONCE and hit a woman. They are innately abusive people. Rihanna was not the first and won't be the last. But him being a bad person does not take away from the fact the he is very talented.

Everyone else: I'm so sick of hearing about his "reprehensible" behavior. Despite the fact that we are 100 years into the fight for women's rights, we continue to use word's like, "Woman Beater". Really? All this term does is perpetuate society's inferior view of women. A woman would never be labled, "Man Beater". It's such a stupid term. Chris did not beat Rhianna- Chris and Rhianna fought. He did not beat her- in fact, I'm convinced she struck him first. They-as in both of them, as in both are at fault- fought, she obviously got the worst of it. Get over it, move on. You comment alot, and tend to overthink things alot too I have noticed, especially on stories from Britain. Like when you tried to question the Queen's birthday celebrations for the public where you tried to say that an entire country and THEIR tradition and way of doing things was misguided…

Then I search and came up with the couple's statement. I was young just like we all way and had fights but we were young and I am older now and have not had a fight with anyone else. Men get beat also by women and because of their pride they hide it while the woman become the victim. I am a Director of a DV prorgam and have seen this happen to alot of young boys/men. Long story short Rihanna is a violent person. When she can brake a bottle over her own brother head where's he had to get stichers. Another incident people who actually seen Rihanna slap Chris many times because of being jealous of his fans. So please

Well said litnight, I agree. This guy has never accepted he has a problem and there is no evidence he has tried to (willingly) get help. He displays anger in tv show green rooms if he is asked about the incident and on one occasion threw a chair at the window of a morning show resulting in glass falling to the ground (it is very lucky that no one was killed). He obviously has a rage issue but instead of owning it he spends his time talking about his haters and how it's not fair that ppl question him about it blah blah.
I have NO DOUBT that Rihanna's current situation with him (being all friendly) is just a ploy to get his popularity back and she was probably asked to do it. It has backfired though because nobody thinks 'Oh look, he is a nice guy after all' they just think Rihanna is an idiot…which she is.

All this guy has to do is make a statement saying he realizes he needs help then go to rehab for a few months then when he gets out ppl will give him a chance…that's all he has to do and he'll see the change in his cd sales considering that's all he cares about.

Half of the people commenting on this are delusional. Chris Brown is very talented, yes, but that does not take away the fact that he beat up a woman. I find the double standard in the industry amazing: Chris Brown can beat a woman and still be successful, Kristen Stewart cheats on her boyfriend (which in my opinion is a far less serious crime, because it isn't even one) and everybody calls her a slut and she gets dropped from her new movie. I'm sorry but, what? In what world is that fair. Chris Brown should be dropped from his label like the scum he is. He had his chance in the limelight and he obviously couldn't handle the pressure.
