Dr. Pepper Ad Pisses Creationists Off

| Filed under: Icky Icky Poo

If you don't believe in evolution - chances are that you probably aren't going to be enjoying the new Dr. Pepper promotional ad.

The soda company released an "evolution of flavor" ad that really offended some people who had no problem expressing their outrage over the ad that definitely did not seem like it was originally trying to provoke anyone except maybe to drink their soda.

Here's what one distraught consumer said:

"I ain't no freaking chimp. No more Dr Pepper for my household. God Bless y'all."

There were a flurry of other outraged men and women, but the one we liked the best was:

"The day your faith is shaken by a Dr. Pepper ad is the day you should probably start reconsidering your faith."

LOL!

No response yet from the Dr. Pepper makers and if they will keep the campaign going or not.

We'll see.

There is really nothing to believe….evolution is a fact. There is proof. If you think otherwise you're really just being plain ass ignorant

Ugh, religion causes all conflict. Believe in God but hate religion.

Funny how they have no problem with believing they were created in the Garden of Eden. No factual required.

  4. 4

Probably the same morons that said they were going to quit eating Oreo's because of Gay Pride Day.

  5. 5

People have to cry about everything. It gets old.

I hope they do, it would be so stupid to take it down when evolution is a fact.

Why is it okay for Christians to be outraged and anything that goes against their beliefs, and not okay for the rest of us. If you can't take criticisms about you own beliefs, don't make them about others.

  8. 8

Ugh. I have nothing against religion but "evolution" is not Santa Clause. You can't believe or not believe in it. You can argue that God played a part in it or that it was just pure science but facts are facts…evolution happened.

PLEASE LISTEN: Evolution IS a fact. However, for those who believe in God, no need to hate the factual idea of evolution. Firstly, evolution doesn't say we evolved from apes/chimps. What is believed is we evolved from a common ancestor, not directly from apes as a linear function. Evolution is like a branching tree. From the evidence, we didn't even evolve from the same line as neanderthals! So stop saying, "I'm no ape!". Secondly, if you don't take the bible literally, evolution really doesn't negate God. This is a big one. Evolution doesn't dictate what "ought" to be, it reports what was. It doesn't say anything about the "source" of life on earth. Therefore, people who believe in God have no reason for not believing in evolution. There is concrete evidence that evolution is an ongoing process. It just typically happens slowly over millions of years.

    Science. That is all.

  11. 11

Whatever….I still say I ain't descended from no monkey. Aliens maybe, but not a fuckin' chimp or whatever common ancestor science tries to push on me. But that won't stop me from buying Dr. Pepper. Especially the throwback version made with sugar. That shit is tasty.

  12. 12

And it's not just Christians that have a problem with evolution. I'm pretty sure Muslims aren't too keen on it too.

  13. 13

Poor little creationists, go cry in a corner.

I love it when Christians complain about evolution, when they don't even understand how it fucking works. We didn't evolve from a chimp you fucktard moron, we and chimps evolved from a SIMILAR ancestor. People are so retarded to think this still. Educate yourselves fools! Evolution is indeed a theory, but so is gravity. No reason to say neither exists when you know they do. So shut the hell up with your dogmatic, psuedoscience crap.

Re: emily – OK know-it-all. Why don't you explain it to me. What "common ancestor" do humans and chimps have? I know it's a simple answer for someone of such high intelligence, so please, enlighten me. What is this "creature" that we (humans and chimps) both evolved from?

    16

To be honest, I really don't care if I've descended from monkeys or bloody Adam & Eve. I'd just like there to be one thing in the whole world that causes no complaints, no religious conflict & that doesn't make people take offence.

I fucking hate these retards. "Forget a bunch of FACTS, my faith is stronger than that! That's the Devil's work!"

Hahaha, It's always fun When religious people get angry about this. They don't know shit.

  20. 20

How in the ever living hell could people not agree with the theory of evolution? THEY ARE ATTEMPTING TO ARGUE AND DISAGREE WITH A 110% PROVEN FACT.

People..are seriously trying to argue against scientific fact. Thats like arguing and saying the sky isn't blue. These people need to be chemically sterilized. People that stupid SHOULD NOT be allowed to breed. Simple as that.

  21. 21

Re: josh mcbryde – In scientific terms a "theory" is a fact. Not the kind of theory you're thinking about…idiot. A scientific theory basically means scientific fact.

  22. 22

Re: LISTENUP – I can't think of a single religion that lines up with evolution. Most or all major religions place man at the top of the hierarchy. Not on equal footing with any other creature on earth. Man is charged with being stewards of our world. Man was created in the likeness of our Lord. Sorry, but I'm not sure which part of any holy text you're asking not to take too literally. Your argument makes no sense and you're grasping at straws.

On your death bed, are you going to shun God or ask for his forgiveness? Do you have the balls to thumb your nose at him just before you pass or will you play it safe and ask for his blessing, you know, to cover your ass just in case?
