We've said it once! And we'll say it again!

Celebrities who use their platform for positivity and justice will always earn some extra gold stars in our book!

So Johnny Depp might as well be Glee's Rachel Berry right now, cuz boy's got himself COVERED in 'em!!

Not only has he helped Damien Echols get back on his feet after being released from prison, he uses his time and money to raise awareness on the flaws of the justice system — specifically in the case of the West Memphis Three.

CLICK HERE to read more about the case.

And when Johnny attended TIFF with Damien to watch the premiere of Amy Berg's documentary West of Memphis, things got a lil' exciting!

We've already reported on the press conference, but Damien is saying more now, explaining:

"Everybody loves Johnny, so he just thought if he could come and bring more attention to the movie by being there, then that's what he would do."

"We sat next to each other and watched the whole thing because he wanted to watch it from beginning to end just to see what the crowd's reaction was going to be and what parts they reacted to the most. It was pretty amazing."

"There were people sitting behind us saying, 'F*** you' to the screen [when the prosecutors spoke about their belief in the WM3's guilt in the documentary]. It was just what we were hoping."

OMG… they're totally bestiez!! LOVE IT!!!

Now we can only hope their names will be cleared through new DNA evidence… and that the REAL murderer is found!

DonT really care about these 3 guys…but those little boys r the real victims

Here are some facts on the West Memphis Three case:

The West Memphis Three were found guilty by a unanimous jury the first time and plead guilty last year instead of waiting for a trial.

Misskelley (one of the 3) confessed FIVE times, three times to the detectives, once to the police and once to his own lawyer. There was no evidence of coercion during any of these numerous confessions.

Police took a necklace from Echols when he was arrested. An outside crime lab later found blood from two distinct DNA sources on the necklace. One source was consistent with Echols himself. The second source was consistent with both victim Steven Branch and co-defendant Jason Baldwin (one of the 3). A car load of people saw Echols in muddy clothes near the crime scene.

Echols went around bragging he committed the crimes to at least three different people after the crimes were committed.

Baldwin told another person he committed the crimes. The person he told passed a lie detector test about the truth of this.

At least three people probably committed the crimes. The crime lab found three different kinds of knots used to tie the victims.

All of the West Memphis three had failed alibis.

Echols' violent behavior, threats of violence and psychotic behavior is well documented in the Exhibit 500 court documents.

Read alternative sources about the case. Don't believe the one sided movies.

Hey Trifity you truly are a MORON!!! Your so called facts are all BULLSHIT! I don't have the time and energy to go threw all your crap so I will just point out the most obvious one. You said Jason Baldwin told another person that he commited the crime and that person passed a lie detector test. Guess what buddy??? That same idiot that passed the lie detector now says he lied and was on LSD! He says it on camera in the the new movie WEST OF MEMPHIS. So shut your ignorant ass up!

Re: mike – Glad someone else is backing them up, people need to read the facts before jumping to conclusions. It involved children so they are just going to believe what everyone else believes without checking their facts. If they were not innocent they would not have been let out of prison after spending such a long time there.

Re: Erica – The crime of killing those 3 young boys is absolutely horrible. However, The West Memphis Three are also victims. They're victims of our judicial system gone very, very wrong. Due to incompetence and ignorance they had to pay with 18 years of their lives. Inexcusable.

Re: triffity – Misskelley had an IQ of 72 (below average cognitive ability). He was a minor that was questioned alone, did not understand his Miranda rights, and stated he was scared of the police during his first confession. He was questioned around 12 hours with only two 46 minute segments being recorded. He quickly recanted his confession stating intimidation, coercion, fatigue, and veiled threats from the police. Prosecutor miraculously noticed tiny spots of blood on Echols necklace the day before jury deliberations, asked for a continuance and had it tested. There were two distinct DNA sources found - one belonging to Echols and the other inconclusive. Due to the prosecutor not sharing this evidence with the defense, the testing was done locally instead of by an expert in an outside crime lab. Echols and Baldwins admissions? Recanted. Failed alibis? Wrong again. Why not speak of John Mark Byers and Terry Hobbs removing all of their teeth in the mid-90s?

Johnny is a beautiful person, outside and inside. He always supports his friends and joins causes like that. I hate those people who say he is in a middle life crisis. He isn't. He is a man with strong convictions about life. He knows what he wants, he does what he feels he needs to do, and fears nothing. It's courage, and I admire and love him.

  9. 9

All of the facts I posted are 100% accurate. They are from court case documents and mainstream news articles. The person that said Baldwin told him he committed the crimes has never denied this. He never said this in the recent movie.

It is believed that Misskelley may have intentionally tried to score badly on his psychological tests. In other words, Misskelley may have been faking a low IQ and his real IQ may have been 84 or 88 points. So he wasn't "borderline mentally retarded" at all. Even if he was "scared" at his first confession, why would he confess FOUR more times, even once in front of his own lawyers?

  10. 10

The 3 were let out of prison because they plead guilty and because of the massive amounts of money behind getting them out. The state obviously did not want to pay for another huge trial. Misskelley was not interrogated "12 hours" before he confessed. Court documents clearly show he was interrogated on and off for 3 1/2 hours before the first confession. Many of Echols' braggings to others about committing the crimes were NOT recanted. Neither was Baldwin's.

  11. 11

Echols had a history of threats of violence, violence, psychiatric treatment and psychotic behavior. His reported actions included brutally killing a dog, starting fires at his school, threatening to kill his teachers and parents and stating he liked to drink blood. See court documents exhibit 500 for evidence of this. Echols' stated under cross-examination that he was interested in the occult. Echols' journal contained morbid images and references to dead children. The West Memphis Three were found guilty once and plead guilty a second time because they are guilty.

Re: triffity – Just watch "Paradise Lost". I won't say anything else. My time is too precious to be wasted with a trashy with a heart full of hate and prejudice like you.

  13. 13

"The WM3 defense team has been well-funded by numerous celebrities who were misinformed by the biased "Paradise Lost” documentaries. These one-sided films left out nearly all of the evidence that demonstrated the guilt of the WM3. They caused thousands of people to support the release of the convicted child killers with a very limited understanding of the actual facts of the case." Todd Moore (father of one of the murdered children)

Re: triffity – I agree with you all the way. The wm3 manipulated celebrities and the public. Now they convinced the mother that they are innocent. Celebrities like Johnny Depp and Eddie Veddar should have helped the real victims which are the little boys. Instead they are making money from a fake movie. How sad! I'm no longer a fan of any celebrity who supports these idiots!

Re: WillowWynde – Detist keep records of teeth. So removing teeth wouldnt hide dna you retard!
