Kate Middleton's Nude Photos Published By French Magazine!
Whoa! Didn't see this one coming!!
The French magazine Closer has published photos of Kate Middleton sunbathing topless on the private property of Lord Linley's French chateau.
Confirmed as the real deal by the palace, the royals are naturally DEEPLY UPSET by the photographs!
St. James Palace has issued a statement regarding the unfortunate matter, which reads:
"Their Royal Highnesses have been hugely saddened to learn that a French publication and a photographer have invaded their privacy in such a grotesque and totally unjustifiable manner. The incident is reminiscent of the worst excesses of the press and paparazzi during the life of Diana, Princess of Wales, and all the more upsetting to The Duke and Duchess for being so. Their Royal Highnesses had every expectation of privacy in the remote house. It is unthinkable that anyone should take such photographs, let alone publish them. Officials acting on behalf of Their Royal Highnesses are consulting with lawyers to consider what options may be available to The Duke and Duchess."

The magazine published the photos with the headline, "Oh my God! Les photos qui vont faire le tour de monde!" That translates to "the photos that will go around the world!"

I understand that this sucks for them, and I LOVE Kate. However, I'm kind of sick of them complaining about privacy- the royals live lives of luxury thanks to the U.K. citizens, so is it too much to ask that they wear clothes when they're outdoors?

Many women do sunbathe topless in Europe, usually on fairly private beaches but it's not at all common in the U.S. unless it's a nudist beach. But the point is that unfortunately for the young royals, they may have to be more circumspect. I don't remember ever having seen Queen Elizabeth doing anything ever out of character for her role as Queen in public and being photographed that way, not ever. Personally, even in my own home, if I'm changing clothes and going from room to room, I avoid going close to open windows, and I'm not famous or being followed. If I were, I'd be a dozen times more cautious. Maybe Kate, as regale as she is in public should try to be more modest even in private moments until she is inside with the doors and windows firmly locked and curtains drawn.
