I have quit many things at the drop of a hat, with no problem at all, among them marijuana after more than 20 years, but if I could quit cigarettes, I'd consider it one of the greatest accomplishments of my entire life.

I know a lot of his young fans who are against smoking will go to their graves saying Zac doesn't smoke. But there are videos and pix of him smoking cigarettes. And considering the known health problems brought on by smoking, I find it hard to believe that anyone would even start smoking. From the looks of Zac's skin (coarse/thick) I'd say he's been smoking for a while. It prematurely ages people.

I think those of you who do not smioke to not realize how hard it is to quit. I have tried 6 times and I have read it is harder than kicking heroin, which I believe. I have been lucky healthwise aside from an occasional case of smokers bronchitis in the winter.

Re: teeter totter – From what I understand, it's one of the worst drugs there is to quit, and from experience, I believe it. With all the shit that goes into tobacco these days, it's even harder to quit today than it was years ago too.
Anyone saying "with all the health shit we know…" yeah, well most people start when they're young and stupid and some people who have actually been diagnosed with cancer can't quit. Unless you've been addicted, you understand exactly nothing about it.

Lol he IS an idiot. I just remembered Zac was very ill with bronchitis last year when he came to film in my hometown in DeKalb (Sycamore woo!!) but he was really nice and signed a bunch of stuff for me and my friends. But he really is stupid to be smoking still after getting put in the ER. Hmmm. Some people will never learn…

I can honestly say that I'm not surprised with zac efron, stars nowadays don't get it that when you get famous, you get stressed! Zac shouldn't have even started! Tobacco kills you! It ain't cool, you smoke you cough then die! Thank goodness some have stopped!!

I quit about 20 years ago and haven't looked back since. Working out really helped me stop smoking. Sucking air in step class, feeling the congestion in my lungs as I did cardio were very motivating. Wanna quit? Start cardio. It works.
