We would hope so, and if you do, maybe you should be a little nicer to your fans — even if they are fans of your previous work!
So the story goes like this… Chandler was waiting for his car at Katana in WEHO. A fan approached, and said this according to a source:
“OH, I’m a HUGE Friends fan!…I watch you on reruns all the time!”
Apparently this wasn't flattering to him. You know, who wants to be praised and stuff??
Here's how he responded:
“I don’t give a f*** about ‘Friends!’ That show’s been off the air for over eight years – stop living in the past!”
Ouch.
The source continued:
“He then got into his car and sped off.”

Met him once when I visited the states he was fantastic and a real good sport, He was really nice when I started talking about friends and how he was my favourite on the show.

I don't doubt this is true. There are many stories - from fellow actors as well - about Matthew Perry being awful to fans. My father works in television and his show was next door to the Friends lot. He said whenever he encountered Matthew Perry he was very rude.
