We cannot begin to tell you how jealous we are of the late Marvin Hamlisch!
The Broadway legend, who passed away last month, was honored Tuesday in the best way anyone has ever been honored in the history of honoring… with performances by Barbra Streisand, Liza Minnelli, Aretha Franklin!!
Once on stage Liza told the 900 people in attendance at the famous composer's memorial:
"He was one of my few constants. He was always there. He always was and always will be."
Liza sang If You Really Knew Me from the musical They're Playing My Song, Franklin belted Nobody Does It Better from the Bond movie The Spy Who Loved Me and then Babs stopped the world with a stunning performance of The Way We Were.
If we had been there, we would have never stopped crying!
It was the perfect memorial — and no one deserved it more than Marvin Hamlisch!
Wherever he is, we're sure he knows he's missed!
