Jon Cryer And Andrew McCarthy's Pretty In Pink Reunion Backstage At The View

| Filed under: TV NewsBarbara WaltersFilm Flickers

Television brought together two 80s icons on Tuesday when Jon Cryer and Andrew McCarthy appeared on The View for very different reasons.

The Two and a Half Men star stopped by the ABC daytime talk show to talk up his first Emmy nomination for Lead Actor In A Comedy Series, while McCarthy was there to promote his new book based on his global travels.

Although the Pretty In Pink stars didn't talking to Barbara Walters and company together, they met up backstage (above) and we're sure they had a lot of catching up to do!

Duckie may have lost the love of his life to McCarthy in the John Hughes classic, but we think it's safe to say that, in the end, Cryer won out and has had a longer lasting presence in Hollywood.

Either way, we're happy that both of these guys are doing well!

Let me be the first to congratulate who ever wrote the blog on this. I'm a 42 year old who grew up on the John Hughes classics. And like many others who saw this photo, it was nothing short of 1000% pure awesomeness!!!!

But then only you donkeys can take an amazing moment like this and try to flip it into some ridiculous competition between McCarthy and Cryer. Whoever blogged this, has no idea how great it is that these two took this pic and tweeted it. It takes us back to our teenage years if only for a couple of seconds…..very few things in this world do that anymore.

Perez, do you ever do your research? It's safe to say that you're wrong as usual. McCarthy has been in the business since '83. He's got 76 acting titles, 5 directing & 1 writer/producer. Jon Cryer started in '84, has 52 acting titles, 1 directing, 3 producing & 2 writing. Who do you think has a more lasting presence? IMDB Perez, it's not that hard.
