We love this!
X Factor judge and pop starlet Demi Lovato is no stranger to bullying and that’s why she’s teamed up with Secret to help put a stop to it!
DemDem is now the ambassador of the company’s “Mean Stinks” campaign, which aims to help bullying victims.
On her past experiences, Mz. Lovato recalled:
"I had a really tough time when I was in middle school. People would write 'hate petitions' [about me] and send them around to be signed. They'd have CD-bashing parties of my demos. They'd come to my house, stand across the street and yell things. It was a very emotional time for me, and all I wanted to do was get away. Back then, there were times I didn't think I'd be able to move on."
Well those bullies can most certainly take a look at you now, Demi! Just like she told XF hopeful, Jillian Jensen — they’re now at home, watching her on TV! Ha!
Lovato took at trip to NYC today to inspire young girls at New York City's Young Women's Leadership School and encourage them to strive for a “Drama Free School Year”!
Check out some pics of Demi and the girls (below), sporting blue nail polish on their pinkies to symbolize their pinky promise to “gang up for good”!
We’re so glad stars like Demi are continuing to make a difference and use their past experiences to help inspire people!
Others can get involved by buying Mean Stinks Clinical Strength deodorant, which Secret will donate $1 to the campaign with every purchase!
Sporting a blue pinky helps make the statement, too!
