Is Steven Tyler the second former American Idol judge making a miraculous return to the show this season?
Yes! It's a possibility!
The Aerosmith frontman recently confessed that his decision to leave American Idol this seasons had a lot to do with his strained relationship with the band. Apparently him being on the show really "bummed out" the rest of Aerosmith, which caused the rockers to fight (like rockers do).
BUT, that doesn't mean he wouldn't go back to the Idol in a different capacity! The scarf enthusiasts recently told reporters:
"I wouldn't go back and be a judge, but I'd be a mentor."
It turns out, Steven finds the whole "discovering the next big thing" TONZ of fun. He gushed about his old job a the judging table:
"I loved the fact that you go through 700 people, and out of that, you really can pick someone that has talent, because they have to audition anyway. And I'm just grateful that Jennifer [Lopez] and I and Randy could pick people that wound up being so good."
Well, we would love to see Steve back on as a mentor!
Seeing him confuse nervous contestants with his creative (made up) phrases makes faaaabulous TV!
Plus, newbie judges Mariah Carey, Nicki Minaj, and Keith Urban could use a some help from an Idol vet!
